I like Christmas too, but it won't surprise me when the stores have the Christmas stuff out in March.


BTW, have you ever tried to buy pairs of shorts at the end of August for an impending trip to a warm climate ? :brick:

When I used to be a retail manager, we'd get Christmas inventory in July/August! The company president used to get the maximum allowable discount by purchasing things real early. We used to walk on the boxes like Indiana Jones whenever we needed to fetch something in the back room.

I used to work at Target, too, and I LOVED Christmas season. The day after Thanksgiving was my favorite--very busy, very crazy but very festive. :xmas:

All those stores are way behind. There is a craft store here that has Christmas stuff up since August. Soon, Christmas will be a year round holiday. :hammer:

Ok, I've done it. I've started Christmas shopping. I've gotten 3 things so far (and have many more to go). Now its time to dig out the Christmas card list.

We had a local radio station give us a "preview" of Christmas by playing nothing but Christmas music for a while. After hearing some of it we decided to take out our decorations. Yup, our tree's up! :sohappy: :xmas:

It has started here, too! Some stores are already decorated for Christmas and there are some Christmas commercials on TV. I haven't seen many ornaments to sell yet, except for twinlking lights...

I LOOOOVE the Christmas season!!! Every year I start waiting for Christmas in October. I would really love to work at Target during Christmas season! I love the Christmas stuff you guys have, the decorations everywhere, Christmas M&M's, marshmallows, cookies, and stuff. We don't have anything like this here, and when I go there I usually brings lots of stuff. People just LOVE them!!! They go like: WOW!!!! Christmas coke cans!!! :lol: M&M's!!!! So cool!!!

I just got back from a day playing at SeaWorld (no work! Yay!) and they're getting all the Christmas stuff out. They had a looooooong string of handspan-sized bulbs out for testing before they dress up the Skytower. The Christmas merchandise is out - I got a reaaaaaally cute all-white stuffed Shamu that's wearing a Santa hat and scarf, and I also got a mini Christmas sock with Shamu on the top that says "Christmas With Shamu"... how appropriate for me! :lol: I got a memo at work, too, saying that starting on the 26th, all characters in the park will be wearing the holiday outfits... can't wait! It'll be adorable!

I'm thinking about putting some decorations up tomorrow. I know it's early and all, but I need to take advantage of the "warm" weather while it's here. Of course that means 40 degrees, but I'd rather do it now instead of out in the snow. :fork:

Target has indoor twinkle lights simliar to the ones on MSUSA. I went and checked them out tonight and will be decorating my tree and my room with them.
