Im actually more entertained by this thread than Disney hosting a chat with an Imagineer talking about New Fantasyland. Something is wrong with that?? :ROFLOL:

They gave us absolutely no meat.... If I ever see Chris walking around the parks I'm going to politely chat about what a waste his first live-chat was.

I wouldn't blame him, I am sure he was carefully coached on what he was and was not allowed to say.

Oh, I thought maybe there was more to your comment than that. I've been to DLP, and I didn't think it was that bad. IMO, Hong Kong looks worse, just due to a very small number of attractions.

Disneyland Parc is a beautiful park, just a shame how many people treat it, the Studios on the other hand still needs a lot of work. The additions in the last few years have made it bearable and events like Terrorific nights are incredible, and the unique shows in the park such as Cinemagique are brilliant. More attractions are still needed to make it a full fledged park.

I thought the web chat was pretty pointless, nothing was given away, just generic answers that looked like they had been copied and pasted from a list of answers written for him.

agreed. Very canned questions and answers. It's almost as if they are just picking from a list of pre-written answers.

In the grand scheme of things, how do we know we were really even talking to Chris. Since every question was screened and picked based on answers that everyone already knows the answers to? :drevil:

We don't - those answers read like they were prepared beforehand for all kind of questions that came up and then just posted with the appropriate questions. We don't even know who wrote the questions. The whole thing could easily just some intern hitting the send button with predetermined intervals for already existing texts...

Chris Beatty took almost every specific question and gave a generalized answer. Every answer had something to do with creating magic for the guests and completing avoiding answering the question asked.

Also, there was no "chat" at all.

Very disappointed. Should have advertised it as a prearranged Q&A with nothing to see here.

What I don't think Disney understands is that this sort of thing just frustrates fans. People showed up with certain expectations. And Disney undershot even the lowest expectations. That doesn't do anything to get people excited about their park expansion.
