Maybe we can get Adam to spam the listserv for us a single time, reminding folks of the video/photo deadlines (especially since we had a lot of non-wdwmagic folks joining us who may not have seen these threads).

When I get back from France, I will work with Jason to get out another email with instructions for the video and photo submissions. I'll be back soon! :wave:

Is this acceptable?

DVD NTSC compatible (MPEG 2, 4000 kbps, 29,97 fps, 720x480)

I quoted it exactly from the program, but I believe they may have meant 30 frames per second instead of whatever 29,97 fps means. Maybe it's a notation I am not familar with.

If this is not ok, then just let me know because this program has tons of options. I just want to get it to where you need it to be so that you won't have to do any extra work when the files get to you.

Thanks for the reminders. I'm hoping I can start converting this weekend.

As a side question-
How long is the footage you plan to send?

Wow! I was going to tell you how to get better quality if it was under 2...

the settings you quoted above are good enough to barely (depending on audio) get 2 hours on one DVD. You are most likely going to have to split the footage and make 2 discs.

I can`t send you an AVI of my stuff, since my converter reakons it`ll be into double figures at least Gb-wise.

Will a high quality WMV suffice (704 by 576)? This`ll also get round the PAL/NTSC issue too :wave:

Hey Martin, that might work fine... why don't you (when you get a chance) make up a quick sample at those settings (say 2-5 minutes) so I can give it a try.

Not to put any pressure or anything like that, but I just can't wait for the video. If your initial video is any indication, this one could be a 3-handkerchief one for me.

I second that! Do we have an idea of the release date? I'm not trying to rush you. I would rather you take the time and make it amazing, which I'm sure you will. I'm just dying to relive the day.
