Well if you're somewhat of a steak person and don't mind paying quite a good sum for a meal I would suggest Charleys steakhouse off idrive. I don't have their address but I'm sure it can be googled easily.

Also, incidentally if you don't mind chain restaurants O'charleys just opened up at the corner of sand lake and turkey lake. Some great food can be found there as well. I know they're not found everywhere so if you don't have one in your area at home you'll definitely want to check it out.

I think its in the Hilton at DTD. Its called Beni Hana and its the best Japanese grilled, hiabachi style. There is also Margaritaville at Universal. The margaritas......:slurp:

Butcher Shop Steakhouse at the now defunct Mercado on I-Drive although the restuarant is still there. Great steaks and I always end up fighting with the missus (all fun though) over the last bite of the hot cinnamon apple pie.

Johhny Rockets at Pointe Orlando ( I really miss FAO Shwartz) and Mall at Millenia does great burgers and I always have to have the chilli fries. Cheap fun food experiance, especially when the staff do an impromptu dance.

We usually hit Margaritaville when we're not staying on Disney property. It's fun on nice evenings to sit outside & listen to the acoustic guitar player. Good food & drinks, great atmosphere.

PIZZERIA UNO is for sure like the best pizza place in the world. You GOT to try their deep dish pizza, oh MAN. Fresh ingredients, fresh crust (it taste kind of like a biscuit). awesome sauce, lots of cheese, and lots of toppings.

It's on Highway 192.

Across from Orange World5350 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy
Rte 192
Kissimmee, FL 34746

PRICE RANGE PER PERSON $10-20. We ate there (2 people) for like $36 after tip.

Another, and I'll second it as mentioned above, Benihana.

Benihana Downtown Disney® Area

www.benihana.com
http://benihana.com/ 1751 Hotel Plaza Blvd
Hilton At Walt Disney World
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830
407-827-4865

Awesome food, prepared fresh and cooked in front of you on a Hibashi grill. A great family experience. Also great for couples sharing something special. A table seats 7 or 8 people. 2 chairs on each end, 3 or 4 on one side, and the chef cooks on the other side. Very cool. Chef provides a show.

Price: Expect to pay between $30-$60 per person. We (party of 2) spend just under $80 for Rocky's Choice (steak + chicken, soup, salad, dessert, veggies, fried rice)

We like the Outback Steakhouse on the 192, mainly because it's not a chain we're familiar with here. As the name says - great steaks and I liked the Blooming Onion starter.

Joe's crab shack is a good place. Its not far from D.T.D. Any of the Orlando ale houses. Its a sports bar and there are several in the area. If your looking for a deli style place try too jays. Also Mimi's over by the millenia mall
These are just a few of our favorites.

I can vouch for Mimi's. That place is pretty good. Timpano's is also a very good Italian restaurant.

Red Rock Canyon Grill

Pointe Orlando on I-Drive. Just went there tonight for the first time. Everyone in the group said we would gladly go back again. Wood-rotissarie chicken was wonderful. Lots of seating, we didn't have to wait. 3 adult meals each with an add-on salad or appetizer = $100 including tax and tip. We did not have desert or alcohol.

The Plantation Room at the Celebration Hotel (American Food) is very good, as is Antonio's (Italian Food) on West Sand Lake Rd.

Except at the airport, I've never eaten off property. Heck, I've never left property. Never wanted too.
But with Harry Potter coming to Universal, I'll have to check out the Darkside.
While I'm there, I'll hit Margaritaville! I've been to 5 so far (Key West, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Glendale and Montego Bay).
As a total Parrothead, I'll have to add Orlando to my list.:sohappy:
