Yes, just what we need, something else for people to complain about!

"The subway is Asia ruins the theming of DAK."

"I go to MK to escape the real world! Instead, they have a subway in TL. "

:brick:

 Well, CS usually sucks, so I wouldn't mind this even if the themeing wasn't upto par.:lookaroun:lol:

subway is not in the parks because the cafeteria is operated by aramark and not Disney

subway anywhere even in the least crowded part of WDW would never be able to keep up with the capacity issues

fun fact: the subway at DHS has won awards for having the most sandwiches sold in the US!

Actually it only takes up a little space and the services there are too important (mostly for backstage purposes) to be replaced. Test Track and Mexico really prevent expansion because they take up most of the available space behind the building. From the front it just looks like there is a ton of space. The majority of land for expansion in World Showcase is found from the Africa Outpost to Japan. With the most area found behind Germany.

All of the guest area and some of the backstage area is actually on legs above the water; as said there is about enough space for a toilet block on the actual land used.

Adding another toilet would make it 5 different sets of restrooms in the building.

The building is at least cleaned every night (includes both the guest restaurant, cast restaurant, first aid and baby care as well as all 3 sets of bathrooms. Currently the guest area is used primarily for special events that happen more often than you would think.

About how big is the building? ...I seem to remember a HUGE dinning room that looks like it wouldn't fit, from just looking at the outer facade.

Front to back it is wider than Test Tracks 300ft. The guest restaurant was originally designed for 592 guests sat at once at 143 tables split into 2 upper levels, 2 lower levels and one central level. Cast dining originally had 65 tables to seat 260 cast members at once.

It is hard to imagine that many guests fitting into there.

Wasn't there a stage in there also?
