Not really… I understand people can have differing opinions… for example my favorite Star Wars series is Andor and my least favorite series Ashoka…yes even worse then Boba Fett but I understand not everyone agrees with me
Even as far as Ms. Marvel was concerned… when I replied to you I said your opinion was in the minority, but I never said you were wrong for having it
Again that is your opinion.

If they do a season two, they better not hire the same people from the first season. They should go back to Stuart Beattie. His original concept for his film script was so much better and in line with what the fans would want.

Ideal world, scrap the series and make his originally planned material, but that of course won't happen.

They went at the entire season wrong. The only vader we should have seen was dreams and nightmares. Beyond that it should have been castaway, with obi rapidly aging due to stress and the environment and going crazy in solitude. Beyond that dynamic he could have watched over luke in the shadows and took out thugs stealing water or harassing the lars family. Even going against criminal syndicates including Jabba. This would have also been a great place to have black krrsantan as in the comic books. While also being bored, and haunted by alternate endings... "what if i had XXXX" they could have shown him killing anakin, or yoda beating palpatine, what if he had rescued anakin, what if he had noticed anakins leanings earlier.. what if maul hadnt killed qui gon, was there anything he could he have helped, what if padme hadnt died?

Would have been an amazingly epic show and explain how we got to obi of a new hope and what he really did. Because from the lucas side we know the lars homestead wasnt in the safest place and between tuskens, syndicates, and just bad people... obi was prob protecting them alot.

Wasn't the original idea to buddy up with Captain Rex and Obiwan would take care of something off world while Rex watched Luke. I think that was part of the original movie script that turned into the show. LFL needs to go with the first couple of treatments and not the 15th revision that went through executive hands.

Yep. It was with Kenobi wanting to train a young Luke. He blamed himself for failing with Anakin and so he had doubts if he would also fail with Luke. Which lead him to leave Tatooine, with Rex in charge of watching over Luke. So he could seek out Vader to see if he could be redeemed. Which reflects dialogue in the OT. "Kenobi once thought as you." The story arc ultimately lead to why Kenobi didn't train Luke at a young age.

Vader had an obsession with finding Kenobi and the original version of Reva told Vader that Kenobi was killed to end that.

The problem was the identity politics rot at Lucasfilm that just reflexively goes, "but why not Leia." Which then completely guts the core idea behind the story that was written by people who put thought into it. Then compoundingly bad choices get mad.

That sounds like a far better story. We were robbed.

Doesn't really matter. Even if they did it just like that there would still be tons of people complaining about it and how they "did it wrong".
You're not wrong. They could make something that makes empire look like the emoji movie and you'll have a good portion of fans not be happy. Until the Lucasfilm clown show is gone, I don't see it getting better. Kennedy has divided the fans too much, too many bridges burned. I can't say I blame the fans. You can only insult your fan base so many times before a good percentage just turn their back on you no matter the quality of product you produce.

That’s because they have driven wedges in between the eras of fandom…by not maintaining consistent guardrails.

It’s not hard…don’t keep redefining Jedi and the force…

Is that hard? It wasn’t broke…never fix it.

So that results in vocal dissatisfaction no matter what now.

I rewatched portions of the acolyte. It’s really one of the most useless/pointless show ever created. It has no purpose, soul or function

$250,000,000 for that…sad

I think that’s a “symptom” not the disease.

The original sin was when they took it over…they thought about it for 5 seconds and decided they had a carte Blanche on direction. They didn’t understand the beast.

Kill Harrison ford and then make it a young directors workshop??

I mean…the non-college bound kindergarten class came up with that.

Star Wars…was always different. I didn’t think fan service was the way to go - like most - in 2012 either. But never thought that staying within the lines would be rejected either. For gods sakes…iger just geeenlit frozen X, didn’t he?
Who is more repetitive.

Sorry, Kiri Hart…you’re a disgrace.

Yup. I re-watched most of it thinking maybe I'm not seeing something. Turns out it made it worse. And that's a big problem. How can you trust Kennedy and the gang, to put out quality star wars when the Acolyte was something they thought was good enough to warrant the highest star wars show budget yet? And then to double down on insulting the fans? I just don't see a way forward until there is serious change. And not just Kennedy.

They are completely stuck

They can’t start over again…so the accountant analysis is saying just keep doing it this way and hopefully eventually people will latch on?

That’s an interesting strategy
