Obama visit, Hollywood Studios Fireworks, and EMH Changes

I have no problem with the president giving a speech about tourism, but this idea that we need to allow more people from Brazil come to Florida because they love the theme parks like the author of the sentinel article suggests is a little nuts. When I was their in July, every where you looked their were Brazilian Tour Groups...how many more Brazilian tour groups does Disney need. Find a way to reduce the cost of flying so more Americans can afford to come to Disney...the cost to fly from NY to Florida is insane...the cost to fly is a big problem with tourism. I guess it is more important to get more foreign tourists here than actual Americans.

I've never seen fireworks at the Studios. Are they aligned for the Hat and therefore the courtyard there is prime viewing area much like the Hub in front of the Castle at MK?

Love's recovering from a hernia repair and off this week and it might be neat to drive over for a few hours and catch some different fireworks Thursday.

Some people got a little miffed at the slow traffic in WDW last week for the marathon, can you imagine how ticked they are gonna be when the motorcade totally shuts down the roads into MK???

On the brighter side, I'm glad my daughter is doing her CP in Hollywood Studios and not in MK :lol:

One land in the MK will be closed for 6 hours and in exchange folks can spend an extra 3 hours in an entire park (Epcot or DHS), an extra hour at AK, and see special fireworks at DHS when they otherwise would have seen no fireworks there for their entire vacation as Fantasmic is not showing. I'd be ecstatic were I at WDW this week!

What is so wrong with Brazillians enjoying WDW like the rest of us do? There are even statistics showing that over the next 7-10 yrs, more and more Brazillians will be moving to, and working in Fla. Many at WDW since the place is becoming their passion...as it is ours. WDW was not built for only Americans to enjoy.

Exactly. I had no intention of going to the resort this week. Now I am. Out of sheer curiosity of how they will handle this event. And also to see fireworks at HS. I have heard they are currently projecting MORE people to be a WDW than otherwise would be there Thursday....
