So this year I will be celebrating NYE at Epcot and I have never done this before :D!! My questions is, has anyone out there been there to know whether or not they will fill to capacity and if so, what time I should get there to make sure we can get into the park?!

Thanks everyone!!

I've done it once before - in 2004.

Absolutely insane crowds, never seen anything like it. I remember our group had to pick one ride because we really only had time for one (3 hour wait for Test Track, I believe, saw parts of that queue I never knew existed).

You weren't exactly walking through World Showcase as much as being part of a massive crowd that happened to be moving in the same direction as you.

However, the fireworks show they put on was beyond words, especially the NYE tag, and it was worth all the crowds and insanity. I'll never do it again though.

So, get there early, be very, very patient, expect crazy waits, and enjoy the show.

We were there last year. We arrived in EPCOT around 09:30 and they closed the park around 10:30-11:00. Did it open again ? I don't know. But it was VERY BUSY. We got a place by the railings at the entrance to the World showcase lagoon around 6:30pm and stayed there all evening for a prime viewing spot for both showings of Illuminations.

I know people who have snagged prime ROE spots at noon and not moved because if they did they`d loose the spot.

Matt; have fun ;)

That's what we did last year, but at 3pm, not noon (still freakishly early though). The wait wasn't bad, it was the horns and the hoardes of brazilians that tried to push their way in 15 before showtime. It was fun, but I won't be doing it again for a long time. Have fun!

Wonder lot is full as of 11 am. Explore is a good 2/3 full. Line ofcars to ml is insanely long even though I saw 3 different signs saying it was full. CMs were pointing to one of the led boards saying it wasclosed

Thanks for the update. I'm sure they are on the grass by now at both lots.

Here is a picture of the TT extended queue at 11:25 from matpez's twitter post. All I can say is no thank you. I am happy to be at home today.

No problem. Sse is 70 mins with an extended queue wrapping twice around the underside of the sphere and the entrance is way Around in front of the lounge. Tip board reads M:S 140 mins. TT 120, LWtL 45, Soarin 195

Every year I read reports about NYE at Epcot (or WDW for that matter) I always cringe but there is still that little bit of me that would like to experience it just once.
