So, I'm not an expert. But my understanding is that Voodoo is a religion. Hoodoo is just the supernatural curses and non-spiritual side. Dr. Facilier uses both in the movie ("I got voodoo, I got Hoodoo, I got things I ain't even tried... And I've got friends on the other side")

I’m sorry, I think that there was a misunderstanding. I thought that the interactive element was always meant to be a treasure hunt. I had thought that that’s what you were talking about in terms of it, and I included it in my initial pitch. We don’t have to do it if you don’t want to.

Yeah figured something was just miscommunicated at some point lol. Like I said, I'm good with whatever there.

I’m terms of the riverboat, I can’t think of any sight lines that would be blocked, and I don’t think that it would cause too much congestion if we put it over the TSI dock. Again, it’s totally fine if we don’t want to go this route for the sake of realism, I just thought that it was a natural move given the area’s new theme, and we had talked about moving it there last project.

I like using the TSI dock. Like you said, it's a natural move. The pathways back there can be tight, but the Riverboat doesn't draw many crowds.

@Pi on my Cake what part of the land should I take? Should I do the game or general land design?
I'm good either way if you have a preference!

I think the one thing is that the riverboat adds extra kinetics to the land... if we're docking it, it makes sense to add another boat of some sort right? And what would the boat become if it was docked?
Dry docking was just my own personal vendetta against WDW's Riverboat lol. Ignore me suggesting that earlier haha

If it was docked, there could be a permanent bridge to TSI which would make it both a feasible attraction to experience rather than something that takes up so muhc valuable vaction time for very little rewards. Swiss Family Robinson doesn't take nearly and extra hour just in waiting for boats then taking a slow raft and all. Plus, if TSI has a bridge connecting it, then it would be easy to connect to the backside of Rivers of America giving Disney a HUGE expansion pad. There isn't anything to see from the Riverboat! It is just there because it looks cool on the river, that's it. Dry Dock it. Set up a museum, M&G, and/or play area type thing in it, then forget it.

Here is the first draft of the Frog Mountain write-up. In my opinion, this is has a lot of gray area so I’m going to need all of the feedback I can get.

Frog Mountain, the newly re-themed version of Splash Mountain, will be easily integrated into the Frontierland area. Chick-a-pin Hill will be become the tree housing Mama Odie’s boat. Fireflies (fibre optics) will light up the night sky above the Louisiana Bayou in a swampy environment. All of this to turn Splash Mountain into a musical adventure featuring Tiana and friends.

The entrance will be turned into Tiana’s Place, the restaurant from the movie.

A banner hangs on the front that reads “Mardi Gras Tonight!”. After guests enter, they wind through the Louisiana Bayou before embarking on their journey. Along the way, characters from the film can be spotted like Mama Odie’s Snake. Guests will also encounter crates full of Mardi Gras equipment like fireworks and masks. The statues outside will be replaced with a statue of Louis the Alligator. The sign outside of Splash Mountain will be altered to include one of Dr. Facilier’s Masks rather than Brer Rabbit.

In addition to the name of the attraction, there will also be a sign that reads “Are you ready?”

Splashdown Photos, Splash Mountain’s gift shop, will become Mama Odie’s .

The store sells Princess and the Frog merchandise like shirts, accessories, and plushies. The shop is filled with many different animals from Mama Odie’s house. Dogs, Pigs, Cows, and Goats are just some of the creatures you’ll find.

This is awesome!

One thing I'll not just for clarification:

That red square is the gift shop right at the exit to Splash Mountain (That is also right around where the entrance to the queue is with the big patch of trees being the overflow queue), it is called Splashdown Photos, but 2/3s of the shop is just merchandise not photos.

The Green Box is the Briar Patch Gift Shop, which is just kind of a general gift shop for this corner of the park with Brer Rabbit theming.

From your write up, it sounds like Mama Odie's is meant to be the new exit gift shop though. So, wanted to double check

Thank you so much for the clarification! It’s been a while since I’ve been to Disney World lol. I’ll make sure to fix that!

I’ll take the game.

Just for clarification, it’s a Lewis and Clark-esque game of identifying animals and plants right? Or are we going the treasure hunt game?
I personally think that the treasure hunt or something like that is more interesting to the average park guest, but it may be too similar to the Pirates game

I would vote Lewis and Clark-esque since there already is a treasure hunt. But Goofy has a good point that a treasure hunt is a more interesting story. Both lend themself well to Rivers of America and La Porte.

Whichever you’d rather do. I can adjust the backstory to suit whichever.

We should also finalize The Briar Patch. I’m still partial to converting it into a small counter service, but I’m open to anything.

Dash is definitely doing character development. He PMed me about it and I never PMed him back because I’m trash.

But I can confirm work, at least.

I like the idea of it being counter service. Though with its place on the main path, I think it should be more LA Porte themed than PatF themed if that makes sense.
