November 18-25th Is it that busy???

We leave on Wednesday and the touring plans say 4's until Saturday and then it jumps to 8's? What's up with that? I have heard that it gets more and more busy close to Thanksgiving, but an 8! Really, I know it said Thanksgiving Day was also an 8, so maybe they are just being careful not to under judge the totals of people. But, if you have every been to the world on the week before and of Thanksgiving how was it. Really an 8? Thanks in advance!

I second that question as I'm leaving Friday the 20th (4 days!!) and staying until the 27th. The Touring Plans upgraded the rating from 7 to 8s all days but our arrival date. My family and coworkers have been during this week and keep telling me how nice it is that it's not crowded. I know there is a lot of work behind the numbers and crowd calenders and each year can be different but I'm trying not to think of the crush of an '8'.

well i look at it this way... you guys are going then, im going then, a bunch of other people on this site are going then... just by that sample it would appear that there are going to be a lot of people then! ive had cousins go at this time in the past and they say everything up until thanksgiving day is relatively calm, but once thursday rolls around, its a mad house for the rest of the weekend. crossing my fingers we all still have agreat trip!

Thanksgiving Week

Heyyyy Thanksgiving Week is usually packed! Most schools are out then and throw in the Holiday.

I went last year the whole week and I can assure - it was BUSY BUSY BUSY! :hammer:

But we had a blast! Just all in the way you plan out your days and time

We arrive on Nov. 21st staying till the 30th. I know when I looked at Touring plans a week ago they had it at 7's so they have adjusted the crowd levels to 8's.

Also think too that they are offering the free dining, the only days for black outs is the 25th-28th.

I leave in 4 days!!!

I'll be there too!!! I actually leave at noon tomorrow :wave:. I've been this time of year before and it's not too bad at all...until Turkey day. For some reason T-day in MK is pretty much every man for himself.

We have no plans to be in the MK or any park to that matter on T-giving day, we might do DTD for shopping.

I have a friend that works in the MK and she has to work that day and it is a 11hr scheduled day, :brick:

I will be there as well. I know it will be crowded but I am thankful to be able to go. It has been a rough year and the way I look at it, if its very busy then we all will be standing in line together.

Why count on a book to be right? Just go and make the best of it, whether it be crowded or not? And have a wonderful time too.

We just got back Sunday and the crowds were more than the Touringplans had predicted. Use fastpass and get there early. Ride waits were not too bad but the streets were packed especially Saturday at MK.

We're arriving Sunday, leaving Wednesday and staying away from the MK. So, I'm hoping we won't have to deal with too many people, but if we do, oh well. It'll still be better than being at home or work. :lol:
