Nothing Goofy about Disney park moves

God bless the "Ignore" button.
Psst... remind me what new E-tickets did DHS & Epcot get in the last decade? One park has seen an E-ticket since 2004 and that is DAK. Now let us think about that for a second ...
Midway Mania and Soarin'? I mean, there's no OFFICIAL list of what counts as an E-ticket, but I decided to be generous. I don't remember what site I had up to refresh my opening-date history, but it listed TSMM as a D-ticket... Again, I was generous.

Midway Mania and Soarin are solid D-tickets though. Everest was the last E ticket to land in Orlando.

Quite the exaggeration. The large majority of those who are "frustrated, annoyed, angry, etc..." about the parks are those who visit multiple times per year which is quite ironic but that's a whole other story.

I guess it's a love/hate thing?

I honestly don't love Disney nearly enough to visit more than every couple of years. If I went more often. . . I would enjoy it less, like watching an IMAX film and seeing the individual pores on the noses of actors.

I haven't noticed problems because there are hundreds of things at WDW I still haven't experienced.

I'd think that if I were truly dissatisfied with WDW, I'd just. . . Stop going. It's only bellyaching and whining from a junkie dissatisfied with his dealer, unless you vote with your wallet.

Yes, but instead of fooling those who visit once "every few years", it's become fooling only those who visit once a decade.

They seem to be fooling a record number of these once in a decade folks. The parks keep getting busier and busier despite being "stale" and under maintained.

WDW hasn't gotten stale for me yet. But I've only been going for 4 years, and never went as a child.

I'll enjoy it while I can, and if I ever stop enjoying it, I'll look elsewhere. Seems logical to me.

You're basing your busier comment on what? Disneys supposed attendance numbers? Something that is not public and I have stated multiple times that attendance numbers are fabricated 100% of the time. You should not doubt me on this. I'm sure they had a bump this year but they will not see the same numbers in 2015. They had something shiny and new albeit very poorly laid out and unimpressive. It is impressive to their new demo though. Meanwhile I will not tell anyone to go there anymore. This is coming from someone who would be happy to spend eternity in Epcot as recently as 5 years ago.

Not sure since the article is so vague what the investments are other than New fantasyland and the Fastpass plus which are not a lot compared to Comcasts huge investments in rides. The other point that Disney stocks jumped up a lot is correct but not for the reasons they said. They have alot more companies that they merged with like Pixar in recent years and that adds value. Also they make tons of money from parks and hit movies which increase value. Also the stocket market was going into recession and people especially market managers dumped stocks that were not safe and bought up Disney and other recession proof stocks, I was one of those people. I made my money but it went alot higher since I sold so I have to sit on the sidelines and wait for it to be more affordable with a split or dip.

Well.. that's scary.

Course, they don't mention the extra money they've blown pushing FP+ in peoples faces.. but.. I guess that doesn't matter since they seem to be making it back :p

Maybe there are just too many critics basing their opinions from an adult's point of view. Several of our friends who have returned from their first visits using the magic bands, have had nothing but nice things to say about it. The children are even more excited to have their own bands and colors that they picked out. They didn't feel it was being 'pushed in their faces'.

It reminds me of reading adult critics reviews of childrens movies. Look back to the November reviews of Frozen. Fox News commented:
"Frozen” will certainly appeal to many children, especially young girls in princess mode, but unfortunately due to clunky pacing and lackluster songs, we'll have to keep on waiting for a new Disney classic."

None of the experts had it on their radar to be such a blockbuster, but, I'll bet their children loved it.

I feel the need to point out that this article referred to Disneyland as well as to WDW. The major investments into DCA DID make it a much better park. I went in 2009 and 2013. 2013 was much better with Cars Land and a revamping overall of the park, plus it did seem more crowded over there. Now if they could just put that kind of effort into WDW, we'd be better off. The company has not lost its ability to make great attractions and entertainment; it just doesn't seem to apply it to WDW right now.
