Nothing Goofy about Disney park moves

God bless the "Ignore" button.
On a serious note, is anyone here actually analyzing the financials of Disney's strategic planning over the last decade or so, or just sitting here complaining about the lack of new thrill rides? Sure it's always good to have new rides but what if their strategy is actually working? I don't think many people on this board has stopped to think about that.

Disney spends tons of money in researching their customers and I seriously doubt they would be doing things like spending millions on meet & greets and redoing plaza's (like the hub at MK) unless there was serious demand from their customers. These projects have no measurable ROI but are very expensive.
"...what if their strategy is actually working?"
Working for WHO? Them? Yes. Us? No.
You're of the "business" school of thought. Business-wise, Disney is at the top of their game.
I'm of the "quality" school of thought. Quality-wise, Disney has never delivered so little bang for so much buck.

Sisco is the best captain of them all, Especially like the character developments where he struggles with what he wants to do personally vs his responsibilities as a Starfleet officer.

QUOTE-Well let’s first start out with what they’re not–a Disney VIP Tour is NOT the same as hiring a handicapped person to escort you and your family to the front of the line. This is very, very not cool, Upper East Side Mommies! Shame on you. What are VIP Tour Services, though? Essentially, your Disney VIP Tour guide is an unlimited Fast Pass.

What's the difference between 'hiring' a handicap person to beat the lines, and paying Big bucks for a VIP tour to get the same thing. At least the handicap person got a free vacation out of it. The other way only Disney profits.
Frankly I don't like either way--- but that's life!

Not sure if you have read this whole thread, but there are people who are analyzing the financials...

Anytime that those who follow the rules are inconvenienced by those who break them annoys me. Add in the exploitation of a system that exists to make Disney easier for those who have a hard life, and that's a hot issue.
Luckily, exploiting it is much more difficult now.
