They seem to have planted a big tree in front of the ride entrance... Also I'm starting to really like the new frontage - feeling more Norwegian and the Yellow front and roof definitely has been toned down since the first images.

Looks like a sign was added the yellow building in the cream section. Need an over the wall photo...

I dunno guys. It still doesn't feel like it fits (the yellow building)... I do like the tree though, and seeing (new) adult trees in the park makes me very happy. I'm a fan of shade.

Too bad that shade will be pretty much reserved for those in the multi hour line for the ride

So is the yellow building the entrance to the queue (or one of them) or is it a gift shop, or just facade?

We're calling it an arrow, but a free Dolewhip goes to the person who can get a close shot of, or figure out what this piece of ornamentation is... Also, whoa, signage!

a friend of mine who hasnt even been to the park for 20 years, saw a before and after photo and she said "they completely removed the charm". sums it up perfectly I think.

Wow, the opinion of somebody who hasn't gone to the park in two decades is really one we should give a crap about.

I'm not sure if this has been established here or if it's just a rumor because I've never heard of it before. Someone said that one of the reasons Disney chose to put Frozen in (besides their other reasons) is that Norway didn't want to pay to refurb Maelstrom and Disney chose to just put it in a new attraction? I feel like I read something like this here but can't remember.

Not entirely true as Norway had stopped sponsoring the area many years before. They were offered the chance to renew their sponsorship and they declined.

I think its just typical Norwegian. Its usual on concretewalls but not wooden...

Kjølelager definitely means Cold Storage from the searching around / Googling that I have done, and Bryggestredet appears to mean "Brew Street" and is an actual street in Bergen, Norway. So I'm guessing that the sign means "Brew Street Cold Storage". @spiritofNorway may know better, but that is my preliminary guess.

I can say with 100% certainty that it is the baseplate for a small, wooden sculpture of a man holding something that looks like an axe.
