Okay..Just a bit of fun here...Let's say Malestrom was going down for a refurb yet they decide to keep the film at the end of the attraction running for guest to watch..Would you see it or still bypass it?

I don't watch the film on every ride, but I do enjoy it from time to time.

So yes, I'm sure I'd make time for it, especially if it was the only "attraction" operating in Norway.

Heck, I'll do anything to bypass it even when attraction is open!

I don't even take the time to ride Maelstrom during our yearly trips. I would like to see the film one more time before it finally changes, but other than that......nope.

I like the film, as do my kids.

What I don't like is that if you time it wrong, you have a wait in the middle of the attraction.

I don't know who thought a mid-attraction queue was a good idea, but it's not.

I used to get irritated having to be stuck in the village waiting for the next show, but not anymore. If you take the time to look around and take it all in, it's actually very nice and relaxing.

It`s a great little film as I`ve said before.

I`m too old to run from Soain to TT to M:S. Let the kids do that and miss some of the more subtle plusses of the park.

Agreed - my family and I actually spent several minutes exploring the area on our last trip. I would venture to say the room is one of the more atmospheric areas of Epcot. In fact, we found out if you stand near a window on one of the houses, you can hear a Norwegian couple talking.

Love the movie at the end. Rather not get stuck in the village (but make the best of it) when waiting for the theatre doors to open.

The exit village is a great place to hang out. The music loop played in the area is different than the music played anywhere else in the pavilion. The exit area conversation is also a nice added touch. I have a recording of it if anyone speaks Norwegian and can type out a script.

I watch the film occasionally and do enjoy it (DUN - DUN) when the ride is running, but I probably would not go back there for just the film.

I always watch the film so yes, I'd watch it even if Maelstrom was closed. I do agree with those that think the movie is outdated and needs to be replaced.

Nothing at all wrong with the film, and if the heat/crowds were a little too silly outside, I think stopping in for a few minutes to watch it would be a good use of my time. Especially if the little village next to it were open as well.....

We've seen the film a number of times over the years, but this last trip we passed thru and went out. I dont like how they have the doors closed off so you Have to go thru their gift shop to exit.

The wait before the film irks me more than the film itself. Wish I knew what that blonde lady was laughing about. Having the film before the ride would have been the better idea, though I could stare at that mural all day. :p

When I stayed to watch it last trip, I thought it was funny when the CM said "Thanks for watching our 1988 film, the Spirit of Norway". Even the Norwegians don't like it, apparently.
