No More Rumors from ReDisniey E-Dew: Goodbye

I personally think the Disney-Lucas deal (or lack of) is a very touchy subject.

Nah.
It's been well known for a while. Disney has been wanting a new film for years, but Lucas has held out until they were willing to pay for (at minimum, a few years ago) digital video systems in the cabins to replace the old system of film running all over the outside of the cabin to an old-fashioned projector.

Disney wouldn't pay then, now they will. I heard Lucas was more miffed about the "Disney-Pixar Studios" name change that he didn't like and was thus, mysteriously aborted.

So are you confirming his rumor from today that was deleted about ST2 ?

I can confirm that Disney and Lucasfilm have (quite some time ago, actually - not recently) reached an agreement on a new ride film and modified ride system.
We've discussed it here before.

A lot of loyal WDWMagic fans are also fans of ReDis. Asking for an explanation is not unreasonable.

Is that so?

I've got $5 that says a lot of loyal WDWMAGIC fans are also fans of the moderators you've accused of being "overzealous." but so what, either way? If it comes to one or the other, I'm with the mods. :p

Asking for an explanation in a private message is not unreasonable. Starting a thread to say "Goodbye cruel web. . . you won't have Re-Des to kick around anymore" is pure drama. Goodbye and good luck.

Screamscape just confirmed it!!!!!! And a lot of other stuff too!

Entertaining is one thing.
Credibility is another.

I'll take that second one.

I stopped believing in anybody's second one a long time ago.

Plus I'm surpised nobody here is discussing the new rumor out about Toy Story Mania's "Secret Bonus Track" that you're sent down after hitting a hidden target!
:rolleyes::lol:

I only accused the moderator who did it (unless it was Steve in which case I apologize profoundly)

Too many people get their "panties in a wad" over trivial issues. if you don't like his posts ignore them. There are many posts I ignore b/c I don't care for them but I don't blast the person that wrote it.

I do not think the issue is as much about whether or not a particular rumor is true as it is how the rumor is presented.

Someone posting a rumor that they "heard from a guy" or "heard this from a bus driver", or "my uncle works at WDW"... Is a bit different than someone claiming to be an imagineer, or work in 15 different departments at WDW, or claim to have personally installed things in rides.

Of course this is just hypothetical and if any of the situations in this post sound familiar to any particular person it is by coincidence only.

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
I seen nothing wrong with his orig thread. Hmm how odd.

I have seen dreck that is 1000x's worse posted in news and rumors... that never gets nuked.

[not implying that what he posted was dreck ... just saying in general]

I urge anyone reading this thread to go to Screamscape.com. If Imagineering can't leak through ReDis, evidently Screamscape is the next choice. What a day, what a day!

Just checked Screamscape.
Lance is correct about ST2 and Wall-E.
The Night Kingdom stuff....maybe. I'm out of the loop there, for sure.
Beastly....use salt.
Unless something big has happened since Tuesday, and the secret-keepers have gotten much better, he's a little off there.

Screamscape is nothing more than another rumor site. Yea, they get some rumors right, but using them as a confirmation is not the best of sources.

This whole thing is very odd. I read the original post and didn't find anything out of the ordinary or otherwise scandalous. Not sure why he was deleted. Wonder why none of the moderators have spoken up about this since this thread began. We're already at 3 pages... (inquiring minds want to know...)

Very strange why they would delete the thread. Could someone from Disney ask Steve to delete it? I have seen threads locked but deleting a thread with a few rumors none of which were mind blowingly amazing and out of the blue. Very odd.

Again, it was not deleted because Disney asked for it to be.
You have to get into WAY more sensitive stuff for that. Trust me.
