Why keep putting on a show that has only a quarter of an ending. I was there in early october and noticed this along with my 5 year old son. If the show is broke fix it. I paid a lot of money to see premium entertainment.

Because enough guests don't know any better or, worse, don't care and think it's perfectly OK to present a show in such shoddy (thinking another word here) shape.

You did pay a lot. You did pay for premium entertainment.

You didn't get that. But, again, the fan community is often its own worst enemy.

Let's all talk about the new park coming based on Marvel characters because Frank the busdriver taking us from CBR to MK last Wednesday afternoon told us all about it!

You don't pay mony at the movies only to have the ending cut off and NOT expect the movie theater to reimburse you, do you? Disclaimers are not legal exemptions.

Go ahead and try to take that to court and see how fast it is laughed out.

Court? Seriously?

How about you go to see Paranormal Activity 3 or Puss in Boots this weekend and the film dies 2/3rds of the way in. You do know that 99.9% of the time, you'll be given a free ticket to see it again or a refund, right?

Given movie theaters are solely built upon showing films I would expect them to. Being Disney offers more than sit down shows it makes it a bit different. Does it make it right? Heck no. Marches off into a corner since I have not seen the show in years due to it becoming stale.

When he implies that they are legally obligated to it then yes, court. How else would the legal problem be settled?

On the movie note. I'll pass on Paranormal 3, but Puss In Boots does appear to have comedic potential.

A recap from last night-

The dragon went out for the Brave Little Tailor scene, but then failed. Still no sorcerer, but now if the dragon is still out on the island Mickey isn't allowed to go out at all. So after the Steamboat scene you had no Mickey to say "Some imagination, huh u-huh".

So, did the dragon just sort of hang there out in the open for the rest of the finale' with the riverboat going around with waving Characters in front of it and all?

If the dragon just has to hang there after it broke while the show goes on... How awkward. :lookaroun

Well the dragon is dead at that point. I can see the comedic appeal in having a dead, rotting dragon on the stage while Stitch floats by twirling a ribbon and the voices of moffets fill the Hollywood Hills Amphitheatre. Surely this is a scene right out of the Disney Vacation Planning DVD.

Valid point on the dragon officially being dead. And it would be easy to bribe a freshly scrubbed tourist family from Ohio to gush for the camera about the dead dragon for the planning DVD. I'll have to order the new DVD for 2012 to see if that clip makes it in!

So Dragon's dead and no Sorcerer - I thought the back-up finale involved regular Mickey downstairs conducting the fireworks?! If none of this happened and Mickey didn't appear for his line at the end either this must have been one atrocious viewing of the show. Surely no-one would the show was taken down to make improvements / repairs?!

Wow, not good at all. That refurb can't come soon enough, and their early need to make sure it is done right.

Yeah. You beat me to it, Drew.

A friend saw the show and said the same thing ... dragon came out and never left ... Sorceror Mickey a no-show.

And I'm sure if you registered a complaint at Guest Relations that the CM would look very interested and tell you how seriously they take your feedback and then tell you to go have a MAGICal night!

And they had no Traditional Mickey at the end either.

Yes, this is what happened. Because of the dragon Traditional Mickey wasn't allowed to go out either and do the contingency show.

No Traditional Mickey wasn't allowed to because the dragon died on stage.

You got that right.

Hmm looks like they weren't properly maintaining the show over the 2 years it was on a reduced schedule because none of these problems seemed to happen until the show returned to it's nightly schedule this summer...

Paranormal Activity 3?

Really? :lookaroun

I mean really? :D

Really!? :ROFLOL:

A certain spirit transforms into something akin to Wolfman Jack at the end of American Grafitti right before our eyes.

We need a new icon.

Wow, all of this bad news just makes me want to punch TDO in the face. Forget January/February, start the refurb now!

Cheer up, here's some good news. Al Lutz has this blurb up late tonight (Pacific time) on Miceage.com, and it seems the TDO gang is at Disneyland this week.

EDITOR’S NOTE 10/27: Meg Crofton and a gaggle of Orlando execs have landed in Anaheim. They'll be hosted by Disneyland & WDI execs for a marathon of presentations outlining Anaheim's strategy of keeping older facilities in top shape as they continue adding fresh experiences in both parks. DCA's huge re-launch plans for 2012 also will be explained. Let's hope they get the hint from the proud Imagineers and smug Disneylanders and rethink their current operation of WDW. -Al Lutz

This could mean very good things headed to Orlando.
