No Marvel in Orlando???

I love meeting Tinkerbell.:lookaroun

I mean it's probably for reasons different than the little kids that do...but yea...
Disney is not just about kids and fairies. Dinosaur TOT, EE, AE, RNRC and M:S are classic examples of what Disney is capable of doing when it comes to catering to the older crowd.

I don't really see TLM, or any of the Fantasyland dark rides being girl specific.
I agree with the TLM and BTB not just being girl specific. But the Belle and Aurora attractions are only aimed at girls which is ridiculous. Cant they come up with another attraction that is made for the guys.

Wouldn't it be theoretically possible for Disney/Pixar to create it's own version of say, Spider-Man, in a film and then base an attraction/ride on that version of Spider-Man? The way UNI has the 90's TV cartoon version of Spider-Man and not the Sony Pictures version?

Not likely since they're currently planning three more live action Spider Man pictures.

Thanks for bringing some reason to the thread. Not that I agree with you 100%. Theme parks are probably 3rd or 4th on the list of Disney's Marvel priorities. But the WDW vs. Universal consequences are what make the news so fascinating to me.

That said, rest assured Disney will exploit the deal in every way and Marvel characters will appear at WDW soon. My guess is DTD will be the first area Disney uses but that will be just the start. Someday soon the Marvel franchise will seem as much connected to Disney as Pixar is now. Especially to youngsters. And don't think for a second that Disney won't have super heros that girls can relate to also. They will. Spider-woman?

I love how your attitude changed from "YES EVERYTHING TO DISNEY WORLD IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN!" to "I'm sure they weren't even thinking about it when they made the deal". No hate, but just what I noticed.

Sure, Downtown Disney might seem some merchandise. But from what we can tell, there will be no theme park material at all in Disney World. Disneyland, maybe a few years down the line. Paris and Hong Kong? Sure. Japan? Anything but Spider-Man.

Can you please grab the quote where I say what you claim? I'll be waiting.
