i dont think thats the case at all. but prove me wrong.

We already know Pandora will have screens, Kong will have screens, at least one of the star wars rides will.. fast and furious will also be screens. They're both in doing it from now on. I'm afraid the mummy was the last real practical effect e ticket that we will ever see.

Mummy has screens. Screens work as long as there's more to it. There's really no other way of a totally immersive experience. The plain Jane motion simulators (Minions, Simpsons) are the "screens" I don't like. Very dated, although suitable for all ages.

I just get taken out of an experience when im put in front of a screen. for example FJ or spiderman. i can tell its a screen because its a huge difference from the "practical sets" and it takes me out of the experience.

I guess I'm not familiar with your screen name but I didn't have you as one of the usual Disney apologists. That is the best last ride to be built in orlando. Nothing at any orlando park is as good and complete.

but animatronic characters would look too fake, and probably be a nightmare to keep in properly working condition. The screens on HE are absolutely incredible. They make me feel like I'm in London or Hogwarts. It's the only cost feasible way to create these types of experiences.

Probably the worst use of screens in orlando, thanks for the example. How long was it open before, you know, it... happened?

Because I'm sure he's been standing still for a decade.
The ride opened in april of 2006 and most sites seem to claim that he broke around a few months after the ride opened. So the decade mark if that is true would be anywhere from summer to fall of this year.
