My three favorite theme park rides are Spider-man, ToT, and Haunted Mansion. And what I like about Haunted Mansion is the cool FX. Not the AAs.

My favorite use of AAs are in Hall of Presidents and Gringott's lobby. I like the subtle movements.

ToT is my favorite ride in Orlando. Spider-man is also very good. I have to say I don't like HM and the main reason is it stops all the time, breaks the mood for sure. Take that out and HM would be pretty high on my list. I would put the Mummy up there on my list, mixed coaster with a little of this little of that, cool ride over all.

My favorite AA's are in cues. The AA in the Stitch cue is great, fast movements and very life like. The old school AA's don't do that much for me, back in the 70's they were cool but that was long ago. Tech has progressed a lot since then.

Yet IMHO the AAs in american Adventure still look amazingly real, nothing like the auctioneer or stitch, but brilliant for when they were made. im not a huge fan of the SDMT ones, but avatar promises to have some of the best AAs yet

While it would be nice to see Universal incorporate more AAs, and more advanced AAs, into their attractions, they can still get away from all the screen-based attractions even without using that many. Haunted Mansion is a great example of a ride that utilizes various other practical effects besides AAs. Sometimes all you need is a few moving objects. As long as they go in the direction of more three-dimensional sets and practical effects, I'll be satisfied.

Looking at universals current attraction line up im just skeptical that will happen.

sorry to say but what the hell is "CUES" ?

I know that Nintendo didn't make this game, but this partnership is bringing my hopes up for an American version of "Yo-Kai Watch: The Real", which was an attraction at Universal Studios Osaka where you entered the world of the Yo-Kai Watch anime. If Yo-Kai Watch is successful here (Disney XD is treating it well, but Disney didn't dub the show, Sprite Animation did), then I hope we'll see a version of Yo-Kai Watch: The Real in Orlando!
Here's some pictures of the Japanese version of Yo-Kai Watch: The Real:

The long rumored Nintendo themed land now looks to be locked in for Orlando in 2020. As Nintendo themed attractions are planned to first open in Japan in 2018 and Hollywood in 2019, look for Universal to take everything they learn from those first two versions to perfect the Orlando version, which will likely be the biggest one of them all.

While things are still in development, the land is expected to replace the current Kids Zone area, and feature at least two major attractions and possibly a number of smaller kiddie attractions, as well as a likely retheme of the existing Woody Woodpecker Nuthouse coaster.
I really hope they do not replace ET like they did in Hollywood (although I think I never rode that ride there when I went to California when I was in kindergarten, but I do remember the Nickelodeon area in Hollywood because it had a lot of Rugrats stuff there as Rugrats was my favorite Nicktoon when I was a kid, as well as the building for that Terminator show and the Playhouse Disney Live building at Disney's California Adventure)! But I think that a good replacement for the Barney show (which I also went on and remembered when I was a kid and they still had the Nickelodeon Studios attraction, where you saw the Spongebob opening theme at the end of the tour for some reason...and I think we went during Grinchmas, since I remember watching the Grinch show there, and my mom said I was afraid of the Grinch!) would be that Yo-Kai Watch attraction I discussed earlier.

Also, Princess Peach always bakes the most delicious cakes for Mario -- that's why Bowser keeps stealing her away and Mario has to rescue her. So, maybe an Official Princess Peach Bakery with tiny individual cakes and other treats, should be in order, too!
That would be an awesome idea for the eatery! I never knew about that fact about the Mario games!

Before people blow things out of proportion, Nintendo has not approved any attractions to be built in Florida at this time. Losts of great stuff in development though.

cool cool...that's the rumors I've heard and sounds very exciting, but I was hoping for more details about the ride designs... i.e. what types of rides are these going to be? coasters, simulators, something like test track, dark rides? go karts?

So the official Universal/Nintendo press releases lied to us when they said Nintendo attractions were coming to Orlando? I'm so glad we have the Thick one here to set the facts straight.
