i give MK a thumbs down imo, but thats just me. A super meh ride for an IP that could have been so much more...


I've rode it at Osaka. It was a crushing disappointment. As the poster above says, you think with that IP it could have been so much more.

I can't believe Donkey Kong will be such a short coaster. Is this confirmed? The creator of Nintendo is involved in these projects, and i'd be surprised if he allowed such corner cutting like that.

A lot of the perceived "shortcomings" of the attractions are because of Nintendo. Mario Kart ride too slow? Blame Nintendo. The design team at Universal wanted to lean more into thrill and less into the interactivity, but Nintendo said no. DK Coaster is too tame? Also blame Nintendo. With all of the restrictions and mandates imposed upon them, I think the Universal Creative team did a good job. Is it my dream Mario theme park? No, but it was never going to be.
