NFL Playoffs Pick-em Time!

Last year, we didn't actually end up with a winner, because I screwed up the tiebreaker. So let's try this again.

Pick your winners through all 4 rounds. (Remember: The highest remaining seed plays the lowest remaining seed in both conferences in each round.) For rounds beyond the wild card weekend, you get credit for picking winners even if you don't get the opponent right. Tiebreaker is total points scored in Super Bowl. If everyone is finished by the time the Super Bowl gets here, we'll reboot and set up a new game just for that round.

My picks:

Wild Card games (1 point each)

AFC
#6 Kansas City Chiefs over #3 Indianapolis Colts
#4 New England Patriots over #5 New York Jets

NFC
#3 Philadelphia Eagles over #6 New York Giants
#5 Dallas Cowboys over #4 Seattle Seahawks

Divisional games (2 points each)

AFC
#1 San Diego Chargers over #6 Kansas City Chiefs
#4 New England Patriots over #2 Baltimore Ravens

NFC
#1 Chicago Bears over #5 Dallas Cowboys
#2 New Orleans Saints over #3 Philadelphia Eagles

Conference championships (4 points each)

AFC
#1 San Diego Chargers over #4 New England Patriots

NFC
#2 New Orleans Saints over #1 Chicago Bears

Super Bowl XLI (6 points)

San Diego Chargers over New Orleans Saints (Tiebreak: 41 points)

My pick: NOT Lions. :D

(We won against Dallas today, and lost the 1st round draft pick by doing so... proof that Detroit can't even screw up right.  )

Hey, I resemble that remark! :sohappy:

and your hometown is??

I'm just teasing you and the rest of the homers :p...but if you must know, I grew up on the south GA coast, basically college football country.

Jacksonville is just an hour down the road, but they didn't get a franchise until I was 15, so NFL loyalties are divided between the Falcons (the default team for many years, even though Atlanta is a long way) and the Jaguars down there.

These days, I live less than an hour from the ATL, but can't bring myself to embrace the Falcons (even when they screw up and occasionally play well). Basically, I'm an NFL nomad. I've rooted for different teams at different times, but never officially adopted one.

Brother, ain't that the truth.

Probably the most interesting game will be the AFC Championship game. Unless the Bears of September return in time for the playoffs. Then we should have a good Super Bowl matchup.

The one thing I hold onto is the hope that the Bears were just in a little hibernation period these past few games. Remember how awful they looked in the preseason? Then they came out and killed... until the Arizona game. Since then, they've slowly regressed to preseason form. It's time to Bear Down!
