I can't imagine having to select among these people. I think Orlando Pace and Junior Seau will get in on their first ballots. I feel like Warner will take a couple more years to get in, just because he wasn't consistently dominant over his career. Other than that, I think it's time Charles Haley and Kevin Greene gets in, along with Ron Wolf. Although it will be hard for two pass rushers like Haley and Greene to get in the same year. I'd also put Tim Brown or Marvin Harrison in - just not sure which. There's also no denying Don Coryell's impact on the game, but I think his lack of a Super Bowl will keep him out.

I think all the HoFs are played out now... would prefer a higher standard that means people who have changed the game or were giants amoung men and longevity.

Elections to the HoF should be because someone did something amazing... not because there is a yearly quota.

Surely many of these guys were greats... but I wish for a standard higher than 'great'.

I mean.. Jimmy Johnson? I know the b2b Superbowls is huge but IMO he fails the 'longevity' dimension for me and hasn't proven his formula outside that amazing alignment that happened in dallas.

I don't think all the Hall of Fames are played out as much as the politics is. The Baseball Hall of Fame is joke when it comes to voting. You have a group of voters that have the dumb belief that no baseball should be voted into the Hall of Fame on their first ballot. You also having voters that haven't done their homework on the positions for the baseball of Fame when it comes to who they should be compared to vote. There also is the voters don't vote for players for not what they do on the field, but a personal bias against the player.

I agree on Jimmy Johnson. I didn't like what he did with the Dolphins. As a Packer fan since the 1980's, I am willing to admit that the one sided trade he did was brilliant for the cowboys, but what he did with the Dolphins is the issue I have. Jimmy was very good at eying talent because he was responsible for most of main players of the 3 cowboy teams to the Super Bowl, not Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones is a bad gm when there is no strong right handed man and is why the Cowboys declined in the late 1990's.

Jimmy had some good and great defensive players when he was with the Dolphins, but the supporting cast on offensive that an aging Dan Marino had I had the issue with. Jimmy had a big say in it since he was responsible for player Personnel despite not being a gm. Jimmy had problems with running back and Wide Receiver on those Dolphin teams besides not doing a good job of drafting a young quarterback.

Jimmy had Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas, Sam Madison, Patrick Surtain for defense. You can make a case for the Pro Football hall of fame in Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas although they are not first ballot players to me.

Get your bookies on the phone because one of the guys who finished toward the bottom of our regular season pick em league is going to predict the winners of this weekend's playoff games!

- The NFC South is finally going to be put out of their misery when the Panthers lose to the Seahawks at home.
- I'm picking the Patriots over the Ravens. I think they have too many injuries to pull off an upset at Foxboro.
- I am picking the Colts to upset the Broncos. Peyton has just not been at his best lately.
- Aaron Rodgers' injury and the Cowboys' road record is making me hesitant to pick the Packers. But I don't want to pick the Cowboys so I'll say Packers anyway. I think it will be close though.

Ben Roethlisberger is now out of the pro bowl with him following team doctor orders. Ben has inflammation of the knee. His replacement is Drew Brees.
