8:25 at the NYwdwfan household:

Me: "I hedged myself in the MNF game - I picked the Bears so if the Jets lose I won't be completely upset."

Hubby: "C'mon - have some faith - the Jets are going to win. I'd change that pick if I were you."

Me: "Done. Go Jets."

I should mention that hubby hates Cutler from his days in Denver. I should have realized that at 8:25.

Really? Try being a fan of the Dolphins, who's receiving corps has the collective psychological belief that the football is covered in Vaseline while they wear Mazola gloves. At least we have warm weather, right?

We're struggling as a team in pick'ems. We've now fallen to 2005. I blame Meg.
Ha! I wanna know how all those other teams are doing so well. I'm thinking of resorting to flipping a coin this week, I have no idea who to pick in some of these games. I've gotten so lucky the last couple weeks, because I had no idea who to pick then either.

Yes - but at least your QB throws it to your own team - and they drop it. My QB throws it to the OPPOSING team - and they run it back for a TD.

Yes, but if our QB threw the football to the other team's players, he would miss, get intercepted by his own receivers, and have them drop the ball immediately. Welcome to my Sunday afternoons.

Watching the highlights of that Miami game.. it looked like the defense just wasn't even trying. They looked flat footed, half- efforts, and were giving up way too early.

The sad part lies in the fact that the defense is better than the offense. They seem so lackluster that the games become painful to watch. It's a team that needs a makeover starting with the coaches.

I, personally, am ranked 265,200 in all of the pick'ems players this year. I should have my own show on NFL Network.

And that's the difference 6 wrong picks can take. Around 200,000 ranks lower!

I'm surprised that I am doing better picking against the spread than I am picking without it.
What we rank out of everyone playing pick 'em on ESPN doesn't matter. But if it did I'm ranked 14,791!

Wow - really?!

It only mattered when it was making ME look better than @PUSH. It no longer matters. :cautious:
