There was an article on NFL.com that was very true. Fans and teams get excited when a backup performs well, thinking he'll be the next big thing. Then in most cases he becomes a bust as a full-time starter. Recent examples are Kevin Kolb and Matt Flynn. Flynn is a pretty good backup in Green Bay, but he just didn't seem to fit elsewhere. And Kolb just never clicked anywhere than as a backup in Philly. Some guys just aren't meant to be starters.

Matt Cassell.

And you're exactly right.

I'm picking the eagles and the saints... even against my judgement of the saints... that might swap yet. They are horrible on the road.

Eagles - Niners is a toss up, yet Eagles are at +4.5.... which makes me think Harbaugh gets y and runs up the score.

I just took the points, so I'll probably go with niners in pick-em.... I've been doing that lately, and seems to work out well on the money end...lol.

My husband convinced me to change my pick from the Lions to the Jets. Not sure why I chose today to start taking his advice...;)

Argh, got eliminanated in my survivor poll thanks to a late collapse by the Steelers.
My last minute change curse goes across multiple fantasy games. I originally picked the Chargers to beat the Jags but changed it because I wanted to save the Chargers for later in the season since you can only pick each team once. Wrong choice..

Against Jacksonville is usually when a team has the best opportunity to win.

There was not a single punt in the Packers/Bears game. This is only the 2nd time in NFL history that this has happened.

Also, did anybody watch the Packers/Bears game? The officiating was awful. Both teams got penalized for things that didn't happen. Honestly one of the worst called games I've seen since the Fail Mary game.
