I don't think the integrity of the Raven's fan base is in question outside of this thread. All fan bases have their labels.

True, but the way that Adrian Peterson put it in this tweet, calling us the worst fan base that he's ever experienced? Seriously? Because of a few idiots? It was insulting to us as fans. I think we're pretty decent fans as a whole.

The guy's team had an awful season, he was injured in the game, and his child was killed. This hasn't been a good year for him. I would just chalk it up to stress leading him to overreact to the whole thing.

RGIII will be inactive for this Sunday's game. Kirk Cousins will start. It is a posibility that RGIII will be shut down for the season so he is healthy for the offseason. If RGIII doesn't have any lingering injuries from his leg, then he should play. Injuries are different than simply being sore.

This is all about personal issues among Shanahan, RG3 and Dan Snyder. I don't think RG3's health has anything to do with it.

There is much more to this saga than if RGIII is playing through injury.

Aaron Rodgers has not been cleared to play this weekend. I doubt he will. Looks like another week of Matt Flynn.

http://espn.go.com/blog/baltimore-ravens/post/_/id/4470/ravens-patriots-flexed-out-of-prime-time

Now Jamison is a former Raven's beat reporter.. so he's not totally unbiased.. but the dissing of Baltimore by the league continues. His quote is best.. "A rematch of the past two AFC Championship games isn't good enough for prime time anymore. " - with the Patriots going for the bye.. and the ravens trying to get in the playoffs.
The Chicago-Philly game should be pretty good, too. Neither team is guaranteed to make the playoffs, and the Bears could be on the brink of knocking the Lions out. I don't like the entire flexing thing to begin with - fans have already made plans, and now they are all screwed up.

I think it's more about the TV markets involved... but just another blow off by the NFL front office. The ravens did have a great schedule in terms of exposure and teams compared to recent years.. with the thanksgiving game, MNF, etc... but the opening game is gonna linger for a long time here.

According to Packers tight end Andrew Quarless, Aaron Rodgers took first team reps in practice today. McCarthy and Flynn never acknowledged this, but when asked for confirmation that Rodgers took first team reps, Quarless said yes. Ultimately the CT scan will determine whether Rodgers plays or not, but taking first team reps is always a positive. Quarless said Rodgers "looked really good". McCarthy did acknowledge that he didn't think Rodgers was in any pain today.

Don't know what to think now.

'skins at falcons? wow... another painful one to pick. With RGIII sitting... thinking that could boost them. gonan buck the trend and pick the skins on the road

I don't think the browns are anything.. but I'm tempted to pick against the idea of starting cutler

and I'm picking the ravens for some karma... rise up!

Rodgers said he took more reps today in practice, but thinks he will need another scan before he can be cleared to play - he would not say whether another scan is scheduled. He says he feels good out there, but he needs to take most of the reps in practice tomorrow if he is going to play this weekend.

McCarthy said Eddie Lacy is looking good to him, and he sounded confident that he will play.

Mason Crosby (Packers K) set a recording, scoring more points in his first 7 seasons than anyone else in the history of the NFL.

What's funny is, if Flynn starts this weekend, the Packers will have a QB who grew up in Texas as a Cowboys fan, and the Cowboys will have a QB who grew up in Wisconsin as a Packers fan. :p

RGIII is apparently extremely angry that he has been shutdown for the season.

While Shanahan denies it, sources indicate that the real reason for shutting him down was because of his play. He didn't feel that he could have credibility in the locker room if he didn't play Cousins. Take that with a grain of salt, because we all know how these "sources" are.

The Redskins coaches also reportedly believe they will be fired.

It's hard to tell exactly what's going on. If it's about performance, why decide RG3 is done for the year when there's no guarantee Cousins will perform any better?

And if it's about Shanahan's credibility with the rest of the team, then he needs to be honest about why he's doing it.

One reason I've heard is because Shanahan is trying to save Kyle's (the OC, and his son) job. I've also heard that Shanahan expects to be fired, and should he go to a new team, he would want to use the tape of Cousins for a possible trade.
