The ravens game was the most insane football game I've ever experienced.
This was the view as the raven's took the field...
The snow was coming down at like 2" an hour. The cell phone pictures don't show the active snow fall. They couldn't keep up on the field at all in the first quarter and were lucky to have a few lines on the field cleared at all. It looked like a backyard football match in the first few series.. everyone going so slow.. and basically just a scrum when they ran and pass rush. I have more photos but not off my phone yet
Here you can see where they had already tried to clear the goal line and out of bounds.. and look how covered it was again already.
The game recaps I've read so far don't do the game justice at all. They don't even mention the plays that really lead up to the Jones return being so important. The game was insane... total joy over being ecstatic.. than just 1-2 plays and a total collapse.. and you're down. Then repeat... and repeat again. On top of that the Raven's touchdowns included substantial reviews adding to the drama.
Adrian Peterson has tweeted complaining about the fans being 'the worst fan base i've ever experienced' because there were snowballs thrown in the 4th quarter. Obviously the guy has never seen what can happy in a game in Philly
The fans weren't throwing snowballs until the total celebration started in the 4th. Almost simultaneously in the celebration over Jones' return... snow balls started flying. Then, basically each time there was a huge celebration, snow started going everywhere. And in context, the amount of snowballs was nothing compared to the notorious games in the past at other stadiums. I think AP is more bitter his replacement ran better than he did.
A game for the ages in terms of remembering just how many highs and lows can happen in such a short time period - 5 touchdowns, 3 lead changes, all in just 2:01... can't wait to watch it on the DVR.
