John Fox was taken to the hospital after playing some golf during the bye week. It was not a heart attack as some of the first reports though he did feel lightheaded according to sources. Fox, however, is reportedly doing fine. My guess is probably dehydration of some sort. In transactions news, Jay Ratliff was signed by Chicago while Jonathan Vilma was activated this week from IR.

Since I'm a bit bored right now, I'll show who I think should get awards this season.

MVP
1. Peyton Manning
2. Aaron Rodgers
3. Drew Brees

Offensive Player of the Year
1. Jamaal Charles
2. Calvin Johnson
3. Peyton Manning

Defensive Player of the Year
1. Richard Sherman
2. Mario Williams
3. Terrell Suggs

Offensive Rookie of the Year
1. Eddie Lacy
2. DeAndre Hopkins
3. Keenan Allen

Defensive Rookie of the Year
1. Kiko Alonso
2. Sheldon Richardson
3. Tyrann Mathieu

Coach of the Year
1. Andy Reid
2. Sean Payton
3. Mike McCarthy

Comeback Player of the Year
1. Johnny Jolly
To be honest, I can't think of anyone else who would be a candidate for this award... Revis hasn't been extraordinary this year, so I left him off. And Jolly is the perfect candidate IMO.

Good to hear Fox is ok.
I hate when the Giants have a bye, I can barely go a week without watching my team play during the season, but a bye makes the wait even longer and worse. But a lot of our guys need time to heal so it's a good time to have one right now

That's how I'll feel tomorrow since the Packers don't play until Monday night. But I'm pumped that it's Packers vs Bears!

Also, The Packers/Giants game was flexed to an afternoon game now. They were Sunday night, but now it's going to be the Chiefs and Broncos.

I also loathe bye weeks but sometimes, you need them. I can only hope things get sorted out during the bye week like less penalties, fewer instances of disorganization on the O-Line, etc. Also, it allows me to focus solely on my fantasy team because most of my players have a Week 9 bye! I'm hoping for big games from my latest pickups (I picked up Stevan Ridley last week and Jarrett Boykin this week. I had James Jones but didn't want to risk getting no points and/or having to wait until Monday to know if he was going to play or not so Jones was dropped but I didn't start him very much to begin with when I picked him up from waivers during I think Week 3. Also, picked up Mason Crosby for this week since my K Prater is on bye, as well!)

Must have been worse than initially thought. John Fox will undergo aortic heart replacement valve surgery and will be out for several weeks. It is anticipated the Jack Del Rio will act as interim head coach.

I had the same problem in fantasy. I dropped my backup DEF instead of Jones though. I don't want to risk playing him this week, but with all the injuries on the Packers, I think I can get a lot of future use out of him.

John Fox is expected to miss up to two months because of heart valve surgery, no interim coach named yet. Good thing they have a bye this week.

Surprising scores so far. Jets keeping it close with New Orlenas, Buffalo looking impressive as they're beating KC, Minneota playing good vs Dallas, and Rams up against Tennese

Fantasy Football rant: This bye week is killing me. The lack of Broncos players is going to drop me to the bottom of my league.
Me too. No Cruz, decker, prater, or nicks for me. Plus my receivers are already weak enough with the injury to Reggie Wayne.

Chargers should have had the guts to go for the win in regulation on 4th down and inches for a TD instead of taking the FG to tie. Their chances would have been better than 50-50, which is what you have with OT.

I'm still baffled about the Jets beating the Saints. Can't believe I'm saying this but Geno Smith is Tebow 2.0. The guy may have a crap accuracy and doesn't put the flashiest stats but goshdarnit, he's proven he can win in the clutch and has a good defense to support him. Sound familiar?
