Just came back to say that. Peterson said he was going to play this weekend, but that was before this. He said football is a good way to deal with tough situations.

Very sad indeed. Adrian is a good guy.

My heart goes out to him. He's on my fantasy team but if he decides to not play this week, I will hold no grudges whatsoever and I shouldn't because there are bigger things in life than fantasy sports and sports in general.

And sadly, it's not the first time he experienced tragedies in his life: From Yahoo Sports: "At the age of 8, Peterson witnessed his older brother being struck on his bicycle and killed by a drunk driver. In high school, Peterson’s father was sentenced to 10 years in prison in a drug-related case. Peterson’s stepbrother was killed by a gunshot in Houston while Peterson was preparing for the NFL draft at the scouting combine."

Not only that, he's gone through back breaking injuries throughout his career. Not just the knee injury a few years back but I remember seeing him as a star RB for Oklahoma and that collarbone injury he suffered was one of the hardest things for me to watch.

All I can do is mourn the loss and hope that justice will be served.

As a guy who hates the Vikings, Adrian Peterson is a class act. It's amazing how many professional football players have come through tough adversities, though. Football acts as a sanctuary for a lot of these players. My heart breaks for him and his loved ones during this difficult time.

After hearing more details about the AP situation, apparently when AP visited him in the hospital, that was the first time he has seen him since the kids birth. Peterson just found out that was his kid about a month or two ago, and was planning on spending time with him after this season when he had time.

Really? I saw a picture of them together at the NBA All Star Game.

I was thinking that because, as we all know, the Titanic was a sinking ship...

The Titanic was deemed unsinkable. I sincerely don't believe that the Giants are a team that can be called "unsinkable". Plus maybe it would fit more for the Titans because Titan is in the word "Titanic".

Peterson says he'll play in spite of the turmoil.
