Schaub is still the starter for Houston and for Pats fans and/or people who drafted Gronkowski in fantasy, he may be able to play this week against New Orleans.

Schaub is the best option they have right now. Yes, he is in a slump. But who else are they going to turn to? There's not much available. TJ Yates isn't the answer, IMO. It's best to work through the slump with a QB who has proven he can win games and be an effective QB.

And hasn't Gronkowski been on the brink of returning for like 2 weeks? Seems like it anyway.

Also, Julio Jones was placed on IR. He will miss the remainder of the season.

The Jets have signed David Garrard again. I'm pretty sure he retired because he said he can't play with his injury now, though. Good decision Jets!

On a side note, I really like the New Era caps the NFL makes. I was not a fan of the Reebok hats they made way back when. Now when it comes to New Era hats, I have standards for that! First off, less is more. No unnecessary clutter or anything like that. Just simply the right team logo with the right colors and that's it. And for me, I definitely prefer fitted hats than snapback. (59Fifty or bust in my book.) Snapbacks seem tacky to me and when my hair starts to grow back after...let's say three-four weeks after a haircut, having a portion of my hair stick out is just awkward. I do have adjustable hats that not made by New Era but they all have Velcro straps.

Meanwhile, Calvin Johnson was back at practice for the Lions. Fantasy owners can breathe a bit. And somehow I won my matchup in fantasy last week and my opponent last week had Romo starting! I'm over .500 but I think this week, my three winning streak in fantasy ends.

Calvin Johnson practiced last week, too. It was a total surprise that he didn't play.

Man all the experts are still picking the Giants to lose. No one thinks they are desperate enough yet to figure out how to win even against the unreliable bears.

0-6??? Seems in fathomable

But I still picked :). Chicago

Don't forget your picks for tonight at least!

In all honesty, the Giants have looked like one of the worst two teams in the league thus far. I'd go 32- Jaguars, 31- Giants. If we're basing it off of this season only.

It's been beyond frustrating to watch the Giants this season. We could have easily won 4 of their 5 games if the closed them out. The Dallas game they're offense was either scoring touchdowns or turning the ball over the whole time. If that ball to Scott was caught, now doubt in my mind they score and win. Against Denver, we were down by just 1 at half and were in it in the fourth quarter but then our defense collapsed and we couldn't score. The Carolina game we just got stomped, then against Kansas City it was a 10-7 game in the 4th before the Defense choked and the offense couldn't score. Then last week, we were actually up in the fourth then Eli channelled his inner Romo and there 3 fourth quarter picks (and only one was his fault) and we blew it.
Beyond aggrivating

Eli isn't clutch this season like he normally is.

Aside from the 2011 season and that one game that was Super Bowl XLII, I hardly label that as being "clutch"' in a 11 year career. You need to do it consistently to get the "clutch" label in my book.

The media seems to think one or two games makes or breaks a player. To be honest, I really haven't paid that much attention to Eli's career, and I'm just kind of going by popular opinion. I guess that's my first mistake.

If he adds more GW drives on his resume, I'll obviously think very different and positively about him. Take away his 2011 season, he only has 20 GW drives in his career. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/gwd_career.htm
