How about them browns cutting all their place kickers! :)
I imagine they're going to pick one up off waivers, or try and sign a free agent. Or maybe they'll go kickerless this season since they have such a high scoring offense! They don't plan on settling for field goals.

Cundiff, Carpenter, and Kickalicious (the Packers worked him out, but I doubt they'll pursue him) are all options.

Some news from the Broncos today as they named their starting HB and TE. Ronnie Hillman beat out Montee Ball for the starting HB spot, and Julius Thomas won the starting TE position.

As players go through the waiver process, some are finding new teams. Here are some notable pickups:

J'Marcus Webb (OT) (to MIN)
DJ Williams (TE) (to JAC)
Clay Harbor (TE) (to JAC)
Dezman Moses (LB) (to KC)
Alex Green (HB) (to NYJ)

And then there are some more cuts to announce:

Brandon Jackson (HB) (Browns)
Tyler Wilson (QB) (Raiders)
Leon Washington (HB/KR) (Patriots)
Chris Kluwe (P) (Raiders)

In other news, Bills QB EJ Manuel returned to practice for the first time since injuring his knee earlier in training camp.

The Packers signed Wisconsin's former QB Scott Tolzein to the practice squad, but he has never taken a snap in a regular season game. I'd prefer they sign a veteran like David Carr, John Skelton, or Brady Quinn. If Rodgers goes down for an extended period of time, the Packers are screwed with BJ Coleman.

As a side note, it might be interesting if the Packers sign Brady Quinn, since he is married to AJ Hawk's sister. A family affair. :p

The Packers have reportedly released QB BJ Coleman and have signed recently released QB Seneca Wallace.

See, I figured he would be picked up pretty quick. A bit surprised it's to Min as they had a pretty good look at him as a revolving door for a fair amount of games. Good for us though. I guess its the age old "Our couching staff can make him into a great player." syndrome.

I assume he'll be a backup. They have two solid tackles with Matt Kalil and Phil Loadholt.

I really hope the Packers beat the 49ers. For obvious reasons. I think this is overall the most talented roster the Packers have had since Rodgers has been the starting QB.

I'm watching the America's Game with the 2012 Ravens, and Flacco said that on one of their TD passes, the Packers actually used that same play against the 49ers and scored a TD with it, too. He admitted they stole the play from the Packers. I would like to now give the Packers responsibility for the Ravens' Super Bowl win.

Reports are coming out that Terrelle Pryor will start the season for the Raiders instead of Matt Flynn. I feel really bad for Flynn. I think he could be a decent West Coast QB, but he keeps getting beat out by "new age" QBs.
