Vince Young released by the Packers according to Sportscenter's Facebook page. So if Rodgers goes down, the Pack are in serious trouble.
I haven't seen that reported anywhere, but that would really shock me if it were the case. Unless they plan on bringing Harrell back (who actually only signed like a one week contract with the Jets). If they don't bring in someone else, it's BJ Coleman who has looked the worst out of the three.

It was actually from their Twitter page. My bad.

Wow, that's really surprising. Young did have a terrible week 4, fumbling twice. If we go with Coleman, we are 100% screwed if Rodgers goes down. I wouldn't be shocked if we brought Harrell back.

The Vince Young roster cut is on NFL.com, too, so it's been confirmed by more than one source. I would assume Ted Thompson (Pack's GM) and Mike McCarthy have a plan in place.

Some are saying GB's backup QB isn't on the roster, and fans are already asking for Tebow... I hope Thompson isn't stupid enough to sign him.

Yeah, as a Packers fan, I know how bad the Bears line (Webb in particular) has been. But I've heard it's improved this year.
Well that is the million dollar question, has it? On paper it has for sure. But I will hold out my judgement until real games at real speed... As a Bears fan, Ive heard many times before from them, "Yea, we like the line, it will be fine." And we all know how that has worked out. Just ask Cutler, he'll tell you. ;)

Everyone is saying that Long is going to be really good, but I couldn't put my faith in a guy with very little playing experience.

Some Patriots cuts and news:

- Zoltan Mesko (P) and Jermaine Cunningham (DE) were both cut.

- Rob Gronkowski (TE) will not be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list, meaning he's eligible to return whenever he's ready.

Hopefully Gronk will be playing soon!

So Vince Young, Jimmy Claussen, and Tim Tebow were all cut today, putting some decent backup QB's on the market. The waiver wire already has better QB depth then the NY Jets :p

Austin Collie (WR) (49ers)
Ryan Lilja (OL) (Broncos)

Just checking up on my Packers news site, and some more notable players there:

Alex Green (RB)
DJ Williams (TE)
Matthew Mulligan (TE)

EDIT- Actually, Green's release is intriguing. We were going to keep 4 HBs, and now we only have 3 active ones. Former Jets HB, Joe McKnight worked out for GB recently... I wonder if he's the last piece.

Some more QB depth in free agency with the following cuts:

Caleb Hanie (Ravens)
Trent Edwards (Bears)
Matt Scott (???)

So here's a list of the release QBs so far:

Vince Young
Caleb Hanie
Trent Edwards
Matt Scott
Jordan Palmer
John Skelton
Brady Quinn
Thaddeus Lewis
Jimmy Clausen
Tim Tebow
Matt Leinart

Not a bad group of backups there, I'd be shocked if the Packers don't go after one of those guys.

Sorry for all of the separate posts about roster cuts, but it'd be nice if they put them all in one place...

Dezman Moses (LB) (Packers)
Chris Carr (DB) (Saints)
Courtney Roby (WR) (Saints)
Ramses Barden (WR) (Giants)
Mohammed Massaqoui (WR) (Jets)
Brian Moorman (P) (Steelers)
Tandon Doss (WR) (Ravens)
Antoine Caldwell (G) (Bills)

Just so everyone knows, not all cuts have been made yet. I was wrong with the time I said before, don't know where I got that time.
