I think this is a really tough question. Who is comeback player of the year
Peyton Manning
Adrian Peterson.
Would Peterson count? Does his acl tear and speedy recovery qualify him to win that award? Or does Peyton win it in a landslide?

I think that Peterson would count, but I think Manning will win in a landslide. After all he is Peyton Manning, he gets special attention when it comes to awards. :p

Manning deserves it just for the simple fact many people wrote him off after 4 neck surgeries and that his injury was the end of his career. Peterson's while tough to rehab was not considered career ending.

Wh no love for the Ravens? IMO the AFC better watch out for Denver....as much as I hate to say it Manning has been comming on strong lately and they just seem to get better with each passing week. Yes, the Pats have been doing the same. But the Pats schedule is getting a little tougher here soon and we will see where they are headed. Same as Ravens....Ravens have games comming up against both Mannings back to back.

Funny I see Atlanta and Baltimore both being somewhat the same team.....although I would give Ryan the nod at QB. It is hard for me to believe that either team will make it to the championship round. Best case scenario for the Ravens is that they get the second seed in the AFC and let Manning or Brady go to Houston and throw all over the Texans and end up in Baltimore. Baltimore has somekind of voodoo mojo at home. But are a totally different team on the road. If B'more has to go to either Houston or New England....forget it.

Who do I think will make it in the AFC championship? Brady vs Manning....the NFL wouldnt want it any other way.

NFC....This is much tougher to call...Green Bay? Have no idea...each week this team surprises me...good and bad. 49 rs? Can the kid K really carry this team? does the decision by Harbaugh fracture the team? Atlanta?....are you buying or selling this run? Chigago? Not me...never liked Cutler....never will. I will give Atlanta the nod here but who will they face? Not a clue Falcons vs ?

Thanks neighbor to the North (I do a lot of business in Charlotte)! Another issue with attendence is the PSL. I thought Carolina would be a contender this year, and you have been competetive, just can't seen to get many in the win column....which will lead to a nice draft pick reward. Looked decent last night against Philly!!
Glad Carolina finally saw again what a win looks like. lol

Well Drew Brees performance last night probably killed any chances I had of being in my fantasy league's playoffs.

I have terrible luck when it comes to Thursday games. Even extended into NCAA games last night.

Brees' consecutive games with a touchdown pass streak is over as well...and go Denver!!

Even if the Broncos lose, I think it's safe to assume the Falcons will make the playoffs and have a great shot at the #1 seed.
College Gameday is at the Dome today. Matt Ryan and David Pollack just picked Bama (as all the hosts did) to beat Georgia.....hope that doesn't cause them heartburn in this State!

Sad day today in the NFL. Kansas City Chiefs' linebacker, Jovan Belcher, shot himself in front of head coach Romeo Crennel and owner Scott Pioli. He did this after shooting his girlfriend earlier this morning, she died shortly after being transferred to the hospital.

More information can be found here: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...iefs-player-fatally-shoots-himself-police-say

Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved.

Terrible story about Belcher....something had to go terribly wrong in the young mans life for him to do something like that. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and the KC Chiefs.

Back to the NFL, With a win today and a Bengals loss the Ravens clinch the AFC North. They also with a win will break an NFL record with consecitive wins against a divisonal opponents....13 straight. Yes the Steelers will be without Rothlisberger but anytime you can get a win against the Steelers is a big win for the Ravens. The Ravens have a matchup against the Redskins next week then its back to back games against the Manning brothers...uggggg The ravens defense has been playing much better of late but these games will be the tell tale if they are contenders or pretenders as a Super Bowl team. This week the Pats play Miami, that shouldnt be tough, but next week they play Houston....That will be the game of the week and a precursor to what the playoffs and a possible playoff matchup will look like.

Things I've learned this week:

- New Orleans will most likely not get to the playoffs
- Chad Henne's run in Jacksonville is over
- Seattle has a good shot at the post-season
- Detroit can never finish a game
- Green Bay's running game is inconsistent
- Kansas City just needs some motivation
- The Patriots are still good
- Greg McElroy is better than Sanchez and Tebow combined
- San Francisco can't catch a break against the Rams, and Smith should've been the QB
- Houston is good

Blah at the Pack winning and the Bears losing.

Now with the 9ers...I'm a tad surprised at Coach Harbaugh...although I believe Mr. Kaepernick is a very talented player I'm a bit disappointed in how he just kind of tossed Alex Smith aside...he was out because of injury, not because of bad play. But I'm not a coach so what do I know?
