Next new hotel

Well after the pop century hotels are built. What type of hotel would u like to see get built next. And where would u want it located?

I think a venetian style resort would be good with lots of waterways and Italian food - as near to the Magic Kingdom as possible!!!!

I'd like to see another moderate resort. Maybe over near Animal Kingdom.

The next one is supposed to be the Venetian themed (Mediterranean whatever) hotel between the TTC and Contemporray. It was always planned and supposedly (accoridng to a CM at TTC) start construction once they wrap up the Beach Club villas for a 2003-2004 opening.

I heard that they have had land stability problems in that area, so that's why they haven't built anything there.

I'd actually love to see a venetian themed hotel as well. it would be cool if the could have little gondola rides, or gondolas that you could rent.

I know it seems strange, and Highly expensive, but what would you Pay to sleep with the fish?
Have a hotel under Water where you can either dive down or, ride an elevator to the main lobby of the hotel?

Actually, that's something I've thought about often, an underwater hotel. I've even come up with sketches for it. Unfortunately, the water isn't deep enough anywhere around the World to allow for the hotel.

I really like the Venetian hotel idea, and hope it comes to fruition. If Disney decides to build a DisneySea in WDW, which I hope they do, then I think chances are good that the hotel nearest it will be the Venetian.

Surprised that the water wouldn't be that deep, I always figured that the water table in Florida was pretty shallow. or am I just dreaming that up?

There is actually an underwater hotel in Key Largo, FL. The people who stay there must dive down there and they enter through the "swimming pool". The swimming pool is actually the ocean. Sure beats any other hotel pool!

I'd like to see either a new moderate resort, or some extensive rehabs of the older resorts, not so much as to change the character, but just a good freshening up.

I think they should build another moderate resort with a Egyptian theme somewhere near DHS.

Since they still haven't finished POP and keep building DVC's and with the addition of Flamingo crossing...it will be a long time before we see another Disney built hotel...IMHO

I bet it will be another DVC before a regular resort. That way they kill two birds with one stone.
