see I think this is terribly unfair...
first off; here's human nature; 100% of people who like Belichik don't have a problem with what he did, and 100% of people who hate him hate him more for it...
but, I'll provide reasoning to my opinion rather than a homeristic fan point of view (because I really am not a homer)
First off, most coaches in the super bowl do not congratulate the other after the game is over; they don't have the ability to with everyone running on the field. In the Pats three super bowl wins he never got one handshake...
Belichik forced his way to the other side of the field; the ref told him to go back the game wasn't over, he blew the ref off, gave Coughlin a handshake and a hug and congratulated him...
also... it's not like he said "there's 1 second left I'm getting out of here..."
EVERYONE thought the game was over... the entire Giants team was on the field, the entire media was on the field, fans were on the field... the celebration all but started... Junior Seau was about to enter the locker room; he ran back out from the locker room, and went back on the field... but the point is... everyone thought that time ran out or else no one would have ran on the field...
Had that ball fallen incomplete and the game clearly had a second or a few left on the clock and then Belichik just was like "forget this" and left... I'd agree... but he did was basically everyone else did... thought the game was officially over...

also, I'm sick of everyone calling the guy a cheater...
Almost every NFL coach besides Mangini has sided with Belichik on the "every team has done it in the past and it has no affect on the game"
Jimmy Johnson said "what's the big deal, I did it" The guy won 3 super bowls in 4 years with "America's team." Where's the speculation that those three super bowls are tainted as well as their legacy??? No where...
The 49ers broke league rules when they had their run... no one called that cheating...
Also, fine, people who still are stubborn and say "its cheating he cheated" and want to taint their three previous super bowls... FINE... but anyone who says "this season is tainted because they cheated" simply is being ridiculous... they got caught in the first quarter of the first game of the season... so apparently them going 18-0 is tainted because they went 18-0 by cheating????????
That's like saying a kid got caught cheating on a test when it was first handed out... loses his "cheat sheet" before even looking at the test; gets heavily watched and scrutinized but allowed to finish the test... got a 95 anyways but everyone says "it doesn't matter he cheated"

Hey there Duke, Maybe I am in the minority, but I just thought it was a great game, well played and a heck of an ending!!!! I didnt notice Belichik at all and I actually DID think the game was over with one second on the clock too, until the people I was with told me because it was the Superbowl the final second HAD to be played. I wasnt aware of any cheating. Again maybe I just didnt notice?? Belle

I absolutely agree, awesome game... Giants played their hearts out... they deserved to win that game...
The Pats had some chances to end that drive at the end of the game... but they didn't take advantage of them, whereas the Giants DID take advantage of their chances (Tyree's unbelievable catch)
Hat's off to the Giants 100%... they deserved it...
I just hate to hear people say "Belichik is classless for walking off the field early..."
I know everyone outside of NE hates the guy, but people are just getting nitpicky sometimes...
Regardless, it doesn't matter... awesome super bowl, awesome game, awesome season... disappointing end... I'm happy for Eli though, and I'm very happy for Strahan... they deserved it...
If only I could get over it...

His appearence and his attitude has alot to do with that.. This isn't the first time he was a jerk in public and was called out on it. Leaving your team behind is unacceptable. On top of that he ran up the scores on alot of teams this year and it was uncalled for.
On a side note, i don't live in NE and i dont like the patriots but i hate Eli manning more because of the BS he pulled in the draft. After seeing the end of the game however he moves to my 3rd most hated nfl name and bill takes the first.

I agree!!!! Think we can get together for a WDWMagic meet in Disney for next year's Superbowl?? We can watch at the ESPN club and hit up some attractions in EPCOT before the game!!!! Belle

One year I missed Tom Brady by like one day when the Pats won it. He was in the Magic Kingdom and from what I recall was great about pictures and autographhs etc. I was so annoyed that I didnt know about it!!!! Belle
