So its easier to believe that for the past 4 years that they've been playing the wrong spiel because no one noticed, even after the recent multi-month refurb? That is easier to believe then it being an intended change?

I guess the only way to tell is if after the current refurb closure, to finish the retracking project, if its still using the same post-pandemic spiel then its an intended change. And as for the why, we may never know.

Yeah for me it is. Simply because choosing to go with the version that refers to a Frontierland station makes absolutely no sense. I think if it stays the same it doesn’t tell us really tell us anything either way. With the pandemic there was a long historic closure and a mistake was probably made coming back. Refurbs are more routine in nature and so whatever audio was last played will most likely be played upon reopening. The odds are if they haven’t noticed yet they re not going to.

What makes it a mistake? It seems like you don’t like it which fair enough I have no problem with but what makes it a mistake?as so many people will point out Disney will intentionally do many things that some people don’t like

Not sure why you quoted me here, I'm not the one saying it was a mistake or that anything is wrong with it. Take this up with @mickEblu who is the one who has an issue with it.

For a moment, I confused it with the third verse for the attraction's anniversary. To be honest, I think I liked that one more, and I think it fits better than the new one.

LOL. Surrrre you don’t.
Please quote me where I said it was an actual mistake and not just having a discussion with you.

BTW, you started this whole discussion in the first place. I honestly don't care one bit about which spiel is played at the stations or the loop on the train. That isn't something that is on any list that I care about.

Now if we can go back to talking about Small World and the verses being added. I'm a fan, I like it.

One that will always bug me is when they reopened after the pandemic they changed all the train station spiels. Not only did the replace “NOS” with “Frontierland” but it lost all of that beautiful reverb that gave it an almost ethereal quality. Nobody ever talks about it. I mean NOBODY. And every time I bring it up it’s crickets. How did the entire Disneyland fandom not notice this change?
Which spiel - the one played on the train when approaching? Or the one played at the station?

Okay I’m confused when did anyone say someone wasn’t a fan? I didn’t see that anywhere for the record i don’t believe in gatekeeping I don’t think it was a mistake they changed the audio.I’ve lost track of who’s making what point.

At New Orleans square station or Main Street? Sorry I’m trying to follow exactly what you are saying here

At all of them as far as I know but definitely at Main Street. Post pandemic they changed the recording which has noticeably less reverb and refers to the Frontierland station instead of New Orleans Square. Always loved how he pronounced “Orleans.” Really emphasized every vowel.
