News New Verse Being Added to "it's a small world"

That's not how things work around here (or any Disney fan forum for that matter).

I'm a little nervous about this too, to be honest. I think the intent behind it is sweet, but I will be wondering about the execution until we have more information about how it will all be handled and how it will fit together within the existing attraction. The most logical possibility is either an entire rescore (probably not happening due to logistics required and Disney's, well, cheapness) or replacing the finale room audio, which I understand and think makes a degree of sense. However, I really appreciate the finale audio as currently scored, with the adult audio added in to really sell the idea of a culmination and an appropriate ending, that perhaps we could reach the point where the idea of world peace is something beyond just wishful thinking of children and something embraced by all. So, understandably I hope, I'm nervous that something that to me feels so perfect about the original show is at risk of being tampered with for the worse.

My preferred solution would be that some of the MANY English reprises of the song used throughout the attraction (notably more than any other version out there, including the WDW version) are swapped out with new recordings featuring the third verse, but I doubt that's what we'll end up with. I imagine anything less than a complete refresh of a given area's audio will sound jarring given the gap that will exist between the 60s recordings and those made today.
The Small World Finale music (with the adult choir) is currently the best piece of audio at the park (which is saying a lot). It will be a major loss.

It all started with the changes on Pirates. Then Splash. In WDW they are getting rid of Muppets and the Rivers of America.
You let them get away with it. You encouraged their changes to things you said were 'problematic' or 'no big deal'. Now it's open season. Current imagineers can't come up with anything new so they have to leave their mark on exisiting rides. Sooner or later they will get to an attraction you do care about.

Look I get the fear of the original arrangements being tampered with, but this change will only help to reemphasize the attraction’s message, especially after the disney characters being introduced. In a world of IASW with Groot, this is very refreshing

"let them get away with it"...... Um, you do realize we have no control over any of this right? You do know you don't actually own any of those Parks and attractions you're complaining about right? Right?

Sounds like someone needs to take a nap.

The only way to really improve Small World’s finale room would be to leave the classic recording as is, but boost Thurl Ravenscroft’s “Buhm buhm buhm” bass backing vocal to the point where it shakes the walls.
They're not trying to make it a horror ride, next thing you'll be suggestion is for the dolls to start getting creepy make overs.....
