They wouldn't change the bars to all seatbelts because the price to change the elevators wouldn't be worth it.

They would probably never replace all the lap bars with seatbelts, because that would be a huge hastle added to the loading procedure. Each passenger would have to get in, adjust the seatbelt, have problems clicking it together, then the CM would have to use a flashlight to check every single person. Not to mention, the problem that so many people would unfasten their seatbelt during the ride..

...when I'm in the seat, the lap bar CAN'T be lowered fully cuz of my belly....my wife and daughter float about freely without a lapbar pinning them to the seat...and they LOVE it.
...the floating is one of the best things about the ride and gives you the sense of reality of an elevator freefalling. Seatbelts would diminish the sensation in my humble opinion.![]()

What do you mean when you say it shakes before it drops, and it rolls forward before you drop a second time? Is this new? If so, how new? Also, is there anything new they added to the ride (drops, # of drops and such) since 1999) recently. Just wondering. Because I love that ride!:sohappy:

I think I would like to stay with the lap bars, they are fun. And one time I had the pictured canelled for my entire car full of people because I took my shirt off for the camera.
