New Tomorrowland @ Disneyland? Is this the year it finally gets announced? No, and that’s OK

When music started and Magic Mirror showed up before he even spoke I immediately thought Villains Land, enough though I was disappointed it wasn't a TL announcement. I even posted Villains Land in the D23 thread immediately when he showed up.

When the mirror popped up I was like ok weird way to announce Tomorrowland but I’ll allow it. Then when the song started and it was clearly villains I got really delusional and was like maybe they’ll put it next to Tomorrowland and get rid of Autopia I so badly wanted something big for DL itself (other than the Walt animatronic of course).

Tomorrowland was always slated for an overhaul the latter half of the decade. I’m very pleased Coco is happening first.

They know what they’re doing!

Any intel on the scope of the refurb? Wondering if there is a set direction or if there’s still a lot of blue sky going on for it.

This is what I figured, wait until the 70th is over and then announce the huge redo in 2026.

Yeah seeing some of the aliens reminded me of Plectu’s Galactic Revue from Tomorrowland 2055

They could use one of the theaters to do a musical show

Maybe, but still seems more likely they just wanted to wait until the 70th was over. Basically make this the announcement for 2026 D23 and be finished for the 75th in 2030.

I would honestly be surprised if that and/or Feed the Birds are not in the show.

Well between that and Villains the thought is that the ROA /TSI will at the very least be shrunk considerably.

So I think they have enough area around Frontierland that they don't have to touch ROA/TSI in my opinion.

It was already technically announced, plus would presumably be part of a larger announcement for TL in 2026.

I'm hoping the footprint of Autopia changes. It doesn't need to be that darn big. You could do so much better with the land it occupies.

I would assume it would be shortened for whatever future project goes in the Motor Boat area. Doubt that would be done during the electrification changeover though, unless they are ready to move forward with the Motor Boat area.
