all they need for a launch site is some concrete pads, the launch lattice, and a sprinkler system to hose down the fallout area immediately around the launch site... as for storage they can use a shipping can until they are ready to finish a block bunker...

The scaffolds near the abc comm came down and completely revealed the wall. Does anyone know why there is a giant cut out in the wall? Looks like they might be putting additional lighting there or something.

I believe it's for the speakers.

Just seems weird, there are speakers all over. On the stage, on the light poles, in bushes and they build this wall specifically to use it as a canvas and then have a giant whole smack dad in the middle. I'm assuming they will have a scrim or curtain of some sort so that way you still can use the speakers but also the image gets projected with out missing a chunk in the middle.

I don't think it will be that noticeable when the projections are cast on it. Several speakers have been added to the hub area to enhance the surround sound for the new show.

My point exactly there are a ton of speakers everywhere so cutting a hole in the wall to put more speakers there seems weird.

The structure that was there before also housed speakers, so the new structure pretty much has to as well. Like I said, it shouldn't be an issue during the show.

Looks like they are only going to have one performance of Fantasmic this summer, still only seeing shows for 9. Guess that is one way to force people to come to the Studios on two days. I can't see anyone getting a good spot for these fireworks without waiting 30 minutes. Hopefully they return to their senses and bring back the 10:30 showings like they have done in previous summers. I am not holding my breath though.
