I tried getting a pic of inside the construction wall of the blue tower but I'm not tall enough and don't have anything to stand on to get a picture lol
The scrim on Mickey ave came downrevealing that wall. As the show opens in 19 days I assume they are going to do last minute final touches, take down the walls and do testing at park close.
When in August are you going? Starting around 8/21, it'll shift to 8:30 Fantasmic and 9:15 fireworks.Thank you I think I can finish my August plans Finally LOL
We'll miss it too.Disappointed this won't be up and running by the time I'm there from June 4-10. My family was really looking forward to it, and I guess I assumed it would be ready for the start of summer vacation. Oh, well.
Cool. Did you actually see them? How long did it last?Tonight at 10:30 they started testing pyro from the new launch site. Only launching one every two minutes or so, but looks like everything over there is working well and ready to go!
Sounds like DHS is off to a good start! I'll be watching Eyes On Ears tonight, Since this show is more to the right,(looks like it in the concept art)we might be able to see it on the live cam. I would think people be able to see this from parts of DAK and maybe even from JB:AWM. The new launch site is a little closer to DAK, correct?I also caught some of the test pyro and all I have to say is WOW WOW WOW!! I'm not a pyro expert, so I don't know any specifics just from seeing them, but these were huge shells...giant! It certainly got me hyped for th show!
The new launch site means that Toy Story and the surrounding attractions won't have to close early anymore right? I would think the Great Movie Ride would still have to close briefly since they project on it.
Makes sense! Thanks, over the weekend I forgot TSMM closes at 8:45 so two of my family members missed it because they were on Star Tours and we thought we had enough timeThey'll probably still have to close due to roof top pyro, but itll be more like fantasyland courtyard timing. Not the current down for the night.
I saw the first of the test and was actually standing by the main entrance and they are off to the right as we all expected but HUGE shells! This show will be amazing. Currently they are shot off a flat bed truck so a complete upgrade from current show. I also drove down world drive during a few more launch test and it is no different than launching them from where they do in the park today. But the test went on for a good 25 minutes or more but keep in mind it was just one shell at a time with a few minutes in between.Cool. Did you actually see them? How long did it last?
When TSPL opens they may not have to close TSMM as the entrance is moved to the opposite side of the building. They'll probably still have to close due to roof top pyro, but itll be more like fantasyland courtyard timing. Not the current down for the night.
Supposedly nothing will have to close for this new show. When TSPL opens they may not have to close TSMM as the entrance is moved to the opposite side of the building.
I think the rooftop pyro will be no more. They'll probably still have to close due to roof top pyro, but itll be more like fantasyland courtyard timing. Not the current down for the night.
