How busy do we all expect HS to be on the night of the 17th? I was lucky enough to get tickets for the dessert party but that night is also set to be EMH for HS (open to 12am). Will the draw of the opening night for the new Star Wars Show, EMH, and already increased crowds that day across WDW due to new attractions opening ( new Soarin, etc) bring up the possibility of the park closing mid/late afternoon due to capacity?

And if in the event, lets say it does close due to capacity, can I still enter the park after said closure if I have tickets to the paid event (Dessert Party)?

I am sorry you are reading far to into this. I will address some of these points for you anyways. For one I would not worry about it reaching capacity at all. Right now average park attendance is high 20k low 30k, ar Christmas and New Year's Eve the park gets close to capacity reaching around 42k because it's all the overflow from MK and epcot being closed due to capacity. I would not expect though it being start of busy season and new offering to generate well over 10k guests, for one for two if that were to happen they have different phases where only people who have paid reservations are allowed and certain levels of the annual passes for blocked out.

Disappointed this won't be up and running by the time I'm there from June 4-10. My family was really looking forward to it, and I guess I assumed it would be ready for the start of summer vacation. Oh, well.

The only reason I bring up that question is that that is the launch day of the new Star Wars Fireworks show and also the first week of the Summer Peak Crowds. I've spent multiple New Years, and July 4th s in the parks and I understand where you are coming from.

The Disney website currently shows that DHS is closing at 8:30 in August. Should I expect this to change as it gets closer or is this normal?
