New Stacy "Disney Must Do's" critique

What does everyone think of the new in-room Stacy video? My wife and I loved the old Top 7 but we are very disappointed in the new version. It's very toned down and MUCH shorter - doesn't cover nearly enough attractions and things to do. I remember the first time we saw it we said to ourselves, "That's it?" Not only that but the three "must do's" she lists for MK are Small World, Dumbo, and Splash Mountain...??? Not to put any of those down but I just think that's a very random and weak list with all that exists at MK. The script is really bad too. "There are some things you must do, but there are only some of those most do's that you actually wanna do." What does that mean anyway?

I just think it's OK for the most part. Stacy is rather stoic in this version, almost like a farce-energetic guide. At least they reuse half from the previous vids... My parents like it because the "annoying energy" is toned down, but I am pro-annoying energy.
Makes me happy to be there.

Oh, and notice that at the FastPass section, the FP actually has a black box which reads "Invalid FastPass". :lookaroun

I think too short is key. I listen while getting ready in the morning. I can only listen to the same thing so many times before I turn it off. It is a shame because those really put me in vacation mode.

I have the older Resort vacation vids, yet I can't figure out how they are recorded.

I know it involves cable to be plugged from the camcorder to the back of the TV. Question is, how? :shrug:

LOL! I said the very same thing to my girlfriend this past week. I too noticed that the new video was ridiculously short. Doesn't bother me as I don't get the love for Stacy. :shrug: I too am in the 'Zip A Dee Doo Dah Tip For Today' camp.

I liked the old Stacy much better. We saw her for the first time last year and thought the top 10 thing was really fun to watch. This year I saw the new one and was kind of disappointed. She was much better when she was all hyper. Toned-down Stacy is kind of blah...

But maybe not as annoying as Samantha Brown (ugh!)

Maybe if this new one is shorter/less energy we won't find it as annoying...haha.

Moving a bit away from this, does anyone else think the Planning DVDs have really dipped in quality since they moved onto DVD, like all the "this is my palace of dreams" crap. There were so much better in the early 2000s.

Its definitely too short, I've found myself watching it once in the room for nostalgia's sake and then switching to the channel with all the previews and music videos. That usually loops while we are getting ready.

I totally hate what they did with Stacy's "show". The Top 7 was way more energetic, made ya want to get out there and have some fun. The Must-Do's totally blow. It's like they took out all the fun and made it more restrained and dull. Yeah, the Top 7 was over-the-top annoying but it made an impression because you'd be in the parks doing your best renditions of her silliness and having fun with it. I don't see anything fun or interesting about the Must-Do's. We used to turn the Top 7 on when we got to our room, I'd turn it on to get the boys moving in the mornings, and we'd play it softly with all the lights off to go to sleep. I dread when the hubby & kids finally get to see the dumbed-down version in March. I saw it in May. :hurl: They're gonna be irked. Soooo, I'll be forced to download the Top 7 somewhere and play it on the laptop with the tv volume turned down. Current/accurate information or not, we gotta have us the fun Stacey and not the one pretending to be all grown-up and stuff.

Though according to my parents, it becomes rather annoying after some time. :shrug:
