I'm actually in favor of this, as long as it doesn't have an outrageous price point where you don't save any money by purchasing it.

Just me guessing, but I think this is aimed at Annual Passholders and residents. Perhaps there could be an AP/FL Resident discount at some point, if it continues past its currently scheduled end-date?

This could be good, depending on the pricing. I am one that does the DDP (both QS or QS/TS). To me, it's about the budgeting beforehand and that I can get more of what I want. Every time i've used both, if I would have paid out of pocket, I would have paid a lot more.

Of course, without this including BOG or dessert, it makes me weary to try it (unless pricing is good...)

It's so aggravating when they have huge lines for food simply because they chose that minimally staffing locations is "good enough" for guests. We wouldn't like a single labor hour "wasted" would we?

Saw this at AK yesterday. One poor soul managing the register for Yak and Yeti walk up, at 12pm. And the park was packed.

the quick service dining plan for 2017 also does not include dessert

Think for yourselfer
Quickservice dining plan is $46.74 pp
this is the same (1 entree 1 drink) minus 2 snacks and the refillable mug
Im guessing $34.99
This is a good guess.

Disney isn't trying to help anyone out here. They are trying to separate guests customers from more money.

This way, for a family of 4. They get around $130 in upfront cash. No deciding you aren't that hungry and a turkey leg will do.

Yeah, still annoyed that they got rid of the large cup. Because we all know that Disney isn't making any money off of fountain soda drinks... :banghead:

Be careful lol. There are some people here that would beg to differ. I don't care they removed it i do care that they aren't giving another option. I would gladly buy a $40 refillable mug if i could refill it as many times as i want.

Anyone remember the old DAK meal vouchers you could get when you bought a meal? They had coupons attached for a free popcorn and ice cream (I believe). Can't remember the price on those but I remember they were a great value.

I think we can all agree, that, like the regular DDP...This won't be a good deal. The price point will make it, at best, a break even proposition. At worst, you'll lose a few bucks or be forced to eat something you don't necessarily want, in order to get your monies worth. I think we can also agree that none of that will matter, and this will sell like hot cakes because of perceived convenience.

I remember! I also remember the DDP for 47 bucks a person and it included appetizer, meal and dessert.. and also the tip. There is no plan out there anymore that there is value in, IMO, except for TiW which in less then 4-5 days you can get your money back.. and the rest of the year is all savings.
