New shots over the walls (August 19th)

If they're keeping the castle walls design, the meet and greets make a certain amount of sense in SWSA. All the princecesses that don't have they're own track of land are visiting Cinderella at her castle. That would have to be within the castle walls.

If they could just keep the princecesses there and move the fairies to the skyway, that would make a certain amount of sense as well - putting them closer to PPF.

Really, I have no problem with any of the discussed possibilities. The only thing that seems a waste is if the entire FLE East becomes the circus with just the Dueling Dumbos and the newly themed barnstormer. It would seem like a large waste of space for the entire space north of there to be a Casey Jr. food court and shopping. At least Pixie Hollow was supposed to potentially bring another ride.

Eagerly waiting to see how this all pans out.

Keep in mind that FLE East may just be version 1 (I don't know anything more). If it is lacking when it opens, that could mean that money is being spent elsewhere in the park or it is just a semi-permanent version until the area can be completely done sometime off in the future.

If and when Snow White closes I think I'll be the only one on these boards who will honestly miss it.

At least there's always DLP, TDL and DL (with new effects).

No. I will miss it as well. No telling how many times the kids and I have pleaded with SW not to eat that danged apple.

Great map a couple pages back Lee. I've been thinking about the capacity increase and how much it really means to the park. Surely the death of the Princess M&G was not only the gender appeal, but the lower capacity than a cycling ride. More capacity = more potential revenue. Broader appeal = more merchandise sales across multiple age groups.

So if this is all correct... From current Fantasyland we are only losing one attraction (Snow White's Scary Adventures). From Toontown Fair we are losing the meet and greets, but supposedly those are moving to Exposition Hall. This should add a lot of stuff to swallow people. This is a great thing for me because even when I'm not there with my kids it means my wait for Big Thunder Mountain could be lower.

All in all we are adding the following:
1 - LM Dark Ride: 2500+ / hour
2 - Unknown Ride: 1000+ / hour (estimated conservatively)
3 - Dumbo Spinner Two: 600+/ hour
4 - Various M&G: 400+/hour

Loss SWSA: -700 / hour

This doesn't account for the additional area, restaurants, and gift shops. Conservatively, this probably adds about 3800 guests per day or a realistic park capacity of 1.4 million per year!

Of course I'm totally guessing at these figures. I'm sure someone will correct me.

I think one of the huge things it accomplishes is that it spreads out FL. Hoping that you won't see the congestion in front of PP with people trying to get to HM, and other attractions in Frontier Land.

That is what I was thinking and hoping as well. But, I'm sure it will still remain that way since it is a bit of a tight walkway in that spot. I think the refurbishment of Small World might help with that as well. I read some where that they are changing the queue to it and you will now exit the ride by Pinocchio's Village Haus. I think that way you won't get a burst of people right by the entrance to Peter Pan. But that is just speculation, guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Good points. Another point on SWSA is that it rarely has much of a wait.

Other than Philharmagic, FL is just a walkway to me (especially once Mr Toad left).

Normally on a week long trip we'll hit up it's a small world, Peter Pan's Flight and Winnie the Pooh once, but the only thing I'm heartbroken if I miss is PhilharMagic.

Actually, I really enjoy Pooh... I think it's a well done ride for what it is!

Agree. I find it very enjoyable. We go again in four weeks, I plan on riding it several times (not that I will have a choice with the kiddos).
^Off Topic - But nice to see another Tennessee person on these boards. I moved away several years ago, but I still call it home.
I think our numbers have grown to 7 or 8 here.

I'm here to stay. Born in Wisconsin. Discovered TN. Never leaving (except on vacation).

Great to see a couple Tennessee folks on here.

Snow is more like 850 per hour, and I want to say the current Dumbo spinner is around 400-500. I think if they kept Snow and somehow redid the station to be a double loader like Pooh, they could up its numbers by 150 or so. Heck, if they added gates at the load zone to keep kids from running out in front of cars (causing the CMs to stop all the cars in the station), it would probably add at least 50 people.
