New shots over the walls (August 19th)

Well there's goes Walt's first full length movie. And another original attraction. I'm wondering did Toad's merchandise sell well? Because I'm going to guess it didn't but people weren't ok with it leaving and then you have a ride based on one Walt's greatest achievements and now the tables are turned. Snow White = Great Ride.

Snow White stays IMO.

Love or hate it, SWSA is one of only three remaining classic Fantasyland dark rides. You take it away and all that's left is Peter Pan and IASW. Will they take away Peter Pan next, because of its difficulty to load and evac? Or perhaps IASW, because it's less popular than Peter Pan? We already lost Mr. Toad, I don't want to lose anything else. :( It's my opinion that things in Fantasyland should be improved, not removed. I'm all for change, but in my opinion, SWSA is a classic and doesn't deserve to die.

I doubt PPF is going anywhere, hopefully it gets added capacity like DL's did. Secondly IASW is one of the highest capacity attractions in the park, it is not going anywhere either.

Ya know, I often find my self on the fence about this topic. I see the "traditionalist" view. But at the same time, I'm more of a progressive. If it's not drawing crowds, not relevant to the younger generations of today, or just warn out then I can absolutely see why WDI and TDO would want to change things up.

While SWSA is a nice legacy ride, if it's departure and the addition of a better ride in the new expansion is better for the park as a whole, I am 100% behind it.

Well World Showcase doesn't draw the "young crowds" should we replace that also?

IASW has received constant updates and refurbs in recent years, but SWSA and PPF just haven't. We know PPF may be getting a refurb once the testing of the Next Gen Project is done, because that is probably the 2nd most visited ride in the park and Disney can't afford to lose it.

SWSA's age on the other hand has affected its popularity and even merchandise sales, and I agree with you that it should be improved. However, I am also ok with removing it and making way for something better. Sadly, or not in some cases, time has shown that the fact that an attraction is classic doesn't mean it will always be there. Walt himself said his parks needed to keep on changing and improving.

Well World Showcase doesn't draw the "young crowds" should we replace that also?

WS can please everyone, but the very young crowd is not exactly its main target.

I'll be posting in the rumors section a looooooooooooong time.

Lee, you give the impression you are working out of bunker and contantly on the phone working sources. Are you primarily talking to insiders or internet pundits? Because it almost seems like you are being played. Circus tent on top of the tea cups indeed.:lol:

I'm still not believing they will greenlight a new ride where the chateau was. And I'm not leaving if they add something like you see in bugsland at DCA. It must at least be equal to or superior to SWSA.

I'm guessing the final look of phase 1 will be similar to what I have described. To finish it......phase 2.....

.....SW gets a miniland and mine coaster as part of the rethemed barnstormer. This will include a m&g next to a well of course

Tink goes into a little themed "hollow" carved out of the western third of the IASW queue. Rockwork and theming will tie PPF, Tink's PH and Rapunzel's skyway location into a single alpine-ish mountain setting.

Tiana gets a m&g on PatF island (formerly TSI)
Jasmine gets a better themed m&g in Adventureland
Pluto in tomorrowland

There I believe that gives every major character a contextual m&g. All the princesses and the fab 5.

My work is done.

Any questions? :)

I agree. Snow White and Peter Pan, though outdated, are classics, and shouldn't be removed altogether. Plus them, don't close them. I don't see it's a small world going anywhere because of its high capacity.

Jaun for my final post I must know, what type of ride will it be please I need to know lol. If I can't know the theme I must know the type. Here's a list of options you tell me which ones are wrong and leave the correct one unbolded. It's not like your telling me, your telling me what ISN'T COMING. Know what I mean ;)?

Okay here's the list:
E ticket dark ride
A simple dark ride
Roller coaster
A log flume ride
A show

Please bold all the wrong ones :).

I'm not saying it is what they will do. I'm suggesting it is what they should do. Although I think I have the scale of the changes pretty accurate.

What part of "changes at the margins" and "slight budget increase" is everyone not grasping?

You seem to think there will be nothing to replace Cinderella and Aurora. We know those are going and something has to replace it.

I still not positive. I'm guessing the architecture stays and the buildings are repurposed. Retail locations are sorely lacking in the original announced plans. I'm sure that is what sent the entire plan back to the drawing board. Not the "too girly" spin that Dis put on it.

IMHO.

Later. Bye.

ok, look at it this way. A "slight" budget increase and new attraction are not mutually exclusive. You can have both! One way is to trim down a few items on one hand and scale up the other hand. Same money (slight increase) as announced, but difference in products is great.

I highly doubt that will be the case.
