new rumors for disney hollywood studio's

Hopefully they will continue to add more family friendly rides. Right now the studios are a waste of time and money for my family because the rides are to intense and/or scary. Other than Playhouse disney, mermaid, and HISTK playpark there is not a lot to do. Toy Story mania is a step in the right direction.

Disney is not trying to capture the youth market Universal targets with HHN.
I tend to agree. This years HHN will be what, number 18 I think. If Disney wanted to go after that market I do not see them waiting nearly 20 years to do it.

I would think Disney wants to aim at a crowd slightly younger than the HHN crowd, the tween-teenage crowd. And it makes a lot of sence to use DHS as the place to do this, with Tower of Terror, Rock N' Roller Coaster, Star Tours, and the new, interactive game based Toy Story Mania that I see fitting that age group perfectly.

So I'd believe that they would try to move grad nights there from the more family/child oriented Magic Kingdom.

And a Nightmare Before Christmas dark ride would probably appeal to that crowd just as much as it would appeal to younger kids who aren't ready to ride the more thrilling rides abundantly offered at the Studios. It would be the east-coast solution to a Haunted Mansion Holiday attraction, which is apparently still vey popular, without having to go through the process of updating the mansion each year. And there is plenty of NBC merchandise promoted in Villans and Vogue and other merchandise shops in DHS to show that there is indeed interest in the film yet.

The former Hunchback theater has been converted into an enclosed theater, not a ride building. They have it set to be used for the many visiting events that require stages, such as Music Days, Cheerleading etc.

Correct, this is so that they don't have to shut down a crowd drawing Indy Show for these events. This will allow the guests to enjoy their fav. attractions with out getting intrupted but those type of events.

I believe NBC would not happen...it so much of a "seasonal" movie to be made into a daily attraction.

They have been saying before 2005 that they were going to shut down ST to update it...and it would always happen right after Star wars weekends...and it would be annouce. I hope that it will be...but I'm not going hold my breath. I'll just be suprised like the American Idol thing....:lookaroun

I agree, DHS needs to become more family friendly. Toy story is a good step and N.B4 xmas would make a huge improvement in the family friendly department. I wonder if Narnia continues to be successful they plan something for that franchise. It would fit perfect in DHS.

While I always wished George Lucas would make an appearance at Star Wars Weekends, I don't see this happening. He hardly even makes appearances at the big Star Wars Celebrations.

As for Star Tours 2.0 (or as I like to call it, Star Tours Episode II :)) that would be cool if they finally announced it at SWW (they did say expect some surprises, then again, they say that every year for SWW).

I just want the next Star Tours to fit with canon.

Oh and it took me few minutes for NBC. I was wondering if the ride would be through the sets of "Friends" and "ER".

I'm not sure that a Nightmare before Christmas dark ride would be an answer to the Family Friendly issue. I think NBC has a cult following, and may serve the opposite effect.

I think the American Idol show and Playhouse Disney are fantastic steps in the right direction for family friendly attractions, but in terms of rides, it would seem that more Pixar themed rides would be the next step or other things in the animation courtyard.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
I know that my mom is horrified at the idea of NBX because apparently monsters and Christ's birth shouldn't be mixed together... but I say that it would make a great addition to DHS! There are a number of kids (young adults, whatever) my age that just don't find WDW that enthralling (I blame the internet and bad parenting). This could be one thing that helps pull them in a bit.

Heading for the great escape.
:shrug:I thought the imagery reflected in said film was more about pagan festivals and various traditions than a specific event that may or may not have happened but believed by various large cults. :

Judging from the widespread rumor starting across the web in an apparent attempt to "will" Disney to build the ride I have a feeling you are right that there is a "cult" following. You have convinced me and I am jumping off the NBC bandwagon. Gracias!

I agree...NBC doesn't seem to have a very family friendly vibe. To me, it would seem to have the tendancy to scare little children more...just like the HM sometimes does.
