What's JT's response to this? Although he insisted that the Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty cottages were still coming months after it was announced they weren't happening.
I wish youd answer my request and do one.
Story is good, and today's attractions certainly bring it out in a way that you can understand relatively quickly. While we as Disney fans probably loved all the time and effort that went in to the stories of the early 90's the average guest (which is the overwhelming majortiy of visitors) wouldn't take the time to start thinking about what was going on. You would basically have needed an orientation session in order to understand what was going on at Pleasure Island when it's whole story was still in tact.
Save Pleasure Island has a history of reporting wishful thinking.
Not going to get my hopes up over this. Save Pleasure Island has a history of reporting wishful thinking. While I'd like to see their rumors come to fruition, I am fairly skeptical. One thing is for sure, though. Disney has screwed up royally with Pleasure Island/Downtown Disney since about 2000 on. One bad decision on top of another.
so.. is "Mahogany Bay Classic Old Boats and Great Food" still coming?

I write for a living said:The level of detail also makes me think of the claim that the cult of story rose up under Eisner, where everything had to have an explicit history, as opposed to the decontextualized vignettes (HM, PotC) that defined imagineering in Walt's day.
Have you actually heard something? Is there any real news?
Looks like they have literally put the breaks on to reexamine the direction. Why couldn't the pathway and lighting upgrades of Hyperion Warf be integrated with renovated clubs? I like that we can see the waterway now. I also don't see a reason to add back the separate admission gates, just treat each club / restaurant like its own entity, it will add dynamics to the street because it will allow people to walk past.
