I kiiind of hate both, but I'm probably just not the target audience. At this point, I really just avoid any TS at HS, especially with EPCOT being a gondola ride away.
I'm kind of on the same page. It's not for me, but I suspect it will be very popular and a lot of people will love the theme.
I do think the interior is pretty fun and pulls off what it's trying to do well. The exterior is what feels a bit haphazard, and as with many recent builds, I worry about the durability of the printed wall art inside. I'm assuming it's printed vinyl or something similar, and that hasn't held up too well elsewhere. I'm guessing they keep using it because it's cheaper to replace, but they need to have a really regular replacement schedule that preempts visible damage if that's the route they want to go. Of course, I could be wrong; this might be a more durable product than what's in MMRR and other newer attractions.Man, I think the place looks cool to me.
Think the imagineers pulled off a really cool look.
It kind of reminds me of Bistrot Chez Rémy at Walt Disney Studios Paris which has a somewhat similar conceit in its decor of oversize props that, when you think about it, is a bit strange for a pricey sit-down restaurant.I think it would look fine as a QS location. I think it's a weird fit, at best, for a table service location -- especially one that isn't character dining. I do like that the whole ceiling is themed, even if it's not a theme I personally like.

Remy looks nicer, less plasticky, calmer, and far less claustrophobic, being quite large and having actual windows to the outside world. The food at Remy isn't that great, though, but the novelty value of the theming makes it consistently one of the hardest places to get a reservation at Disneyland Resort Paris. I wouldn't be surprised if something similar occurs here unless the experience does end up just being loud, claustrophobic, and chaotic.
Overwhelmingly. Why must the ceiling be so oppressively low?Claustrophobic visuals.
Is it actually or does it just feel that way because of the art? I think a standard table is, like, 30 inches tall or something, so going off the tables shown against the back wall near the milk carton, I'd suppose it's somewhere in the neighborhood of a 12- to 14-foot ceiling.Overwhelmingly. Why must the ceiling be so oppressively low?
Sci-Fi was a staple of my childhood, but hadn't been in a long time (over a decade), and forgot just how awesome the theming was. The environment just has that cool factor. Went the day after going to Space 220, and honestly, I would go to Sci-Fi again over Space 220 (even disregarding the price).Sci-Fi Dine-In
Like you said, the facade covers "most" sightlines.Marquee signage uncovered at Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios

This is exactly why I didn’t put in a transfer to this location everything about it looks LOUDIt looks like it will be very loud, but that's probably to be expected at a Toy Story themed restaurant.
All would be fine if they painted the buildings in the sightlines sky blue. They would then disappear like the Guardian's or Tron show buildings.Like you said, the facade covers "most" sightlines.
