It’s the aesthetic of the whole land though. So they kind of backed themselves into a corner with the backstory and theme. The only thing I could see is a more intricate exterior.

I have seen that said twice on this thread and I must say I find that to be not true.
There is no reason why we need to have a Barrel Full of Monkeys game and other toys represented again. I get that it cost money to strike some deals, but there are ways they could have no name branded or struck great deals to feature other toys.
The dining areas could have had giant plasticky looking bags of Easy Bake looking Cake Mix and some Barbi dreamhouse kitchen and dining type areas as if Molly got to playing too.
It is just lazy to do it all again and as others have said, rather uninteresting.
When Honey I shrunk The Kids Movie Set Adventure Playground had more variety than this, there is a problem.

At least give us a back room filled with Sid’s toys…something different.
Or build an actual Pizza Planet toy set that looks like the restaurant in the film. There were options other than copying the TSMM queue.

It just looks so "Legoland." At Disney prices. And that's not a knock on Legoland. It's a matter of meeting (or in the case of WDW, deliberately lowering?) expectations. And charging more. Agree with others that the low drop ceiling is completely inexcusable here and that a proper Pizza Planet themed from the movie could have been a home run. Why can't Disney see this? Heck, the old "Pizza Planet" they shoehorned in across from Muppet Vision back in the day had WAY more charm and architectural interest than this. Sigh.

Why? What it does, it does well. I enjoy going and I know what I am getting. And the food is good.

But the faithful needs to start highlighting this in their “guest satisfaction surveys”
The more we tolerate it…the less they’ll build.
