I witnessed this same mad dash at Disneyland 2 weeks ago. We were directly at the rope at rope drop and before 10am hit, a CM came down the line explaining to everyone where the rope would drop first and that guests were expected to WALK to their destination (and they stressed the word WALK!) Well, they started to drop the rope on one side and as soon as they did, people on that end started SPRINTING towards Fantasyland. Other people (mind you these were grown adults) began lifting up the rope if it hadn't been pulled back at their area, went under it and took off running. CMs were SCREAMING at these folks to walk and no one listened. Parents were nailing people with strollers, dragging kids by their hands. I put a little hustle on, but I didn't run. When I got in line, a CM marched right up to the group of folks in front of the line who had been running for the lives that they had every right to escort them ALL out the park at that very moment because of what they had just done. These people didn't even care. All I can say is, if a child had fallen, they would've been trampled. I have never seen anything like it in my life. I was so shocked at the behavior I had just witnessed. It's a meet and greet for crying out loud! Hopefully they institute some type of rope drop thing like this at DLR. Otherwise someone is going to get hurt.
